Damn, the story is actually really good.
I just don’t understand all this forced rape stuff (because guys, it is rape. Those scenes were genuinely brutal. Being left there covered in semen… it honestly made me feel sick for him).

I can understand an abusive relationship being part of the story, but in yaoi, violence is so often treated way too lightly and it genuinely gives me chills.

The fact that he doesn’t even try to resist, or when they describe it as if—even though it’s rape—he still feels sexual pleasure, when that’s NOT how it works, seriously. It’s nauseating, I repeat. And it’s such a shame because the story itself is so damn interesting.

Team Yuki all the way, though. He might be hiding something too, but I really want to believe he has nothing to do with that disgusting piece of shit, Ryohei.

Shugs May 7, 2026 5:37 pm

So THIS is supposed to be the insane reason why he rejected her confession?!
Like, I thought it was going to be something actually serious — something that was his fault, something she didn’t know, and that would’ve genuinely disappointed her if she found out… BUT THIS?!
THIS IS SO STUPID.

Like yeah, the incident happened because she wasn’t careful and he acted like an idiot, but then he did everything to make up for it. He helped her, he changed, they rebuilt their relationship…

GOD, just admit you needed a dumb excuse to drag the story out.

I genuinely started losing patience with het manhwa because so many of them make zero sense. It was supposed to be a light story, but they had to force some pointless drama in because apparently they can’t stretch the plot without unnecessary angst.

SO disappointed.

I think I understood his point of view. He was battling with depression after losing something he started in the first place to feel worthy of her, but he also ended up being hoot at and loving it. This kind of thing with any athlete is normal. The thing that they have built their whole live around for years, comes crushing , so it'll literally feel like the end. And if you add to that that he's a teenager when it happens, everything is intensified and blown even more out of proportion, because teenagers are in fact, dramatic. It doesn't make his feelings less valid, but they just feel everything a little too much (you were probably a teenager once, unless you still are). Plus, he always had the kind of personality that had difficulty making friends and getting along with others, and Haneul said he was the type to beat himself up over stuff, like he's self deprecating, so he self sabotaged his relationship with Haneul.

It's as if people don't actually read. I mean, I do agree with the dragging part, but you can just not read it.

First of all, if I’ve made it this far, it’s because I genuinely liked the story and expected an important plot twist that would justify all these chapters and all this build-up. As a reader, I think it’s completely normal to have expectations based on what the manhwa itself has been building toward. If I’ve been following it since chapter 0 and this is the payoff I get, why shouldn’t I comment on it? Finding the drama disappointing or forced doesn’t mean I want to drop the story. Usually, I like seeing works through until the end unless there’s really something that completely kills my interest.

And I want to clarify something: I never criticized the representation of teenage depression. On the contrary, I understood her reaction, and I also understood that the accident was, in fact, an accident. But at the same time, her reaction and her guilt don’t completely erase the fact that she also had some responsibility in the situation. I mean, what kid has never had a ball roll into the street? That’s exactly why we’re taught to look before running after it. That doesn’t mean I’m “blaming” her — it just means recognizing that the whole situation was tragic and unfortunate overall.

What confuses me is how the story handled the consequences years later.

He blamed himself, he changed, he helped her, they rebuilt their relationship, stayed by each other’s side for years, and faced that difficult period together. So come on now — if crossing the line and sleeping together as friends is somehow fine, but accepting a confession is suddenly absolutely impossible because of an accident you supposedly overcame together?! Be serious for a second.

The story presented this secret as something devastating, something that would completely change the way she saw him once she learned the truth. So after all that suspense and emotional build-up, I expected something much heavier.

That’s why the reveal felt disappointing to me.

To me, it feels like the story took a real and understandable teenage trauma and turned it into a present-day conflict mainly to drag out the drama. And that’s frustrating because I genuinely liked the development of their relationship and the way they grew together over the years.

And honestly, it also annoys me when people act like readers can’t criticize something just because they still enjoy the story overall. Saying “if you don’t like it, stop reading” completely shuts down any possibility of discussion. But do you cut off friendships when a friend criticizes your behavior, or do you listen to what they really think precisely because you care about them? Because to me, it’s the same thing: criticizing something doesn’t mean hating it.

Criticism is not an attack on the entire work. I don’t suddenly think the manhwa is terrible. I just think this specific conflict was written in a way that felt too dragged out and not convincing enough compared to the rest of the story’s development.

And honestly, I think part of the fun of following a story is being able to discuss both what works and what, in our opinion, doesn’t.

I don't understand the people who call this manga immoral and pedophilic... personally, you're confusing the true essence of pedophilia with a "politically correct" attitude that serves no purpose. Unfortunately, I know it's full of horrifying manga featuring blatantly pedophilic sexual acts. Other times, you call ANY age difference or storyline a pedophile, without even a hint of context or reason! This story is ABSOLUTELY NOT sexual or erotic. It deals with the birth of a feeling between two people with a 10-year age difference, which is especially noticeable due to Tsubaki's age, but who, by fate, met immediately in life, not when Tsubaki turned 18, and are discovering a totally pure "love." The boy has fallen in love with Yuu. It's his first crush. It's such a pure and naive love, from a child who knows nothing about eroticism or has no arousal. The worst part was being embarrassed, having tachycardia, finding Yuu beautiful and wanting to kiss him.
But there's also the feeling of a kiss that's only romantic and not sexual. I mean, there are many types of feelings that lead to a kiss, not just "sex." Then again, at 8 years old, Tsubaki doesn't even know what that is. Yu, for his part, has considerable affection, but he sees Tsubaki as a child, rightly so. His enormous affection has nothing erotic about it. He does NOT feel sexual attraction towards a child, damn it, but it shows and it's super clear. I mean, pedophilia (which is disgusting) is precisely feeling sexual attraction towards children. Can you distinguish things? Can you read? Do you even know what that damn reading comprehension thing they teach in elementary school is when you start reading? You're pissing me off with this baseless, artless political correctness. If you want, read this story. If you're all pretending to be illiterate moralists, I don't even understand why the hell you stumbled upon this story because I hate pedophilia and rape and I try to avoid stories that involve them like the plague. If they happen to be in the middle, then I'll give it a negative rating. Instead, you come here knowing the plot and writing nonsensical, idiotic comments. It's the story of a pure and transparent love born in a child towards the boy next door he grew up with. It's all about the development of their feelings. It's about affection, sweet jealousy towards someone who's always only had eyes for you.
It's about a feeling that has absolutely nothing erotic about it, but that will continue to grow together until, when they reach legal age and Tsubaki (who is also the seed) understands what sex is, it will take on different nuances. You make something as pure and light as this dirty with your ignorance.

Dude blushing while his private parts getting rubbed with the kid, dude getting conscious of the kid's feelings, dude letting the kid suck on his neck and kiss him on the lips and getting flustered and you're saying this is not erotic?? There are CP undertones if you open the gallery of this pedo manga and anyone can see it , how do y'all even act so willfully ignorant?? This is shotacon which is a pedophile genre of sexual depiction of children, there was even a panel in the gallery where the kid was wearing a maid dress and sitting on the top of the dude, and even if it wouldn't have been sexual that doesn't make it alright either, it's like saying pedophilia and grooming is okay as long as the kid doesn't get raped. Y'all are weird for liking this.

    Imemun September 12, 2025 6:03 am

" I hate pedophilia and rape and I try to avoid stories that involve them like the plague" yet you came here read all the chapters of a "shotacon" pedo manga and gave a "positive"review about it and even defending with paragraphs and you're saying you "hate pedophilia and try to avoid it" ?? Self contradictory much?? You say you hate pedophilia but the way you're justifying this pedo Manga and throwing a tantrums over people hating on it tells otherwise, you say it's not erotic but the panels in the gallery says otherwise, why would a guy gets flustered after getting rubbed with the private parts of a kid and getting his neck sucked by the kid?and get conscious of a little kid's feelings if he wasn't "sexually" attracted to the kid?? And how ignorant of you to even think that they will grow up when the title is "shotacon" and the kid hasn't even grown up after 150 chapters are you really dumb or just pretending to be dumb?? And one glance at the artist's other works tells you everything that all they write is about lolicon and shotacon and they've been putting cp undertones too , get help

This isn't a manga, and reading the spoilers for the novel is even more horrifying... What kind of story is this about constant rape? I'm letting someone else rape you so you don't accept that I love you? I've read manga with a similar setting, and unfortunately, rape is often used in the BL/Yaoi world (something I will NEVER understand and will forever irritate me, especially because it's women who write these stories. How can you normalize this stuff?!), but this manhwa is so out of control that it seems like it's aiming for nothing beyond disgust... Who could ever ship an OTP like this? Who could ever expect love to blossom from so much abuse? It's constant suffering and disgust. I'm stopping now and I sincerely hope people stop reading this stuff, otherwise they'll keep writing shit like this. If there's a single person who thinks this story is worthwhile, I'm sick of it.

Shugs July 6, 2025 7:25 pm

The story is cute, romantic, sweet, simple... I don't understand all these negative comments and doubts It's true that the uke adopted the child and raised him, but hey... the age difference isn't that high. He wasn't even a father, but an older brother exaggerating. They have no blood ties except for an older boy who took pity on a child and raised him. Something happened only when the seed was well into adulthood. Now I don't understand why two non-blood strangers after years can't decide that they love each other without you finding the story strange and not normal. I find it adorable and it's so sweet that this little boy has loved this person for all these years and finally finds himself reciprocated

    Cheollie July 6, 2025 8:45 pm

If you don't understand why people find it weird maybe you're not privy to the concept of grooming. Granted, this story doesn't really clearly depict that as the uke didn't hold any sexual fantasy abt the kid until a year ago (when he was already an adult) and they didn't do the deed til they were both legally an adult, not to mention we saw the monologues of uke and see how it's not his intention to groom the seme. However, this doesn't change the fact that the seme was 5 when he first met uke and has lived with him even longer than with his parents. Yes the 15 years age gap are also present in some stories and aren't weird most of the time, but it really is weird when the other party is a kid when both parties met for the first time. Plus, the seme was a child who was vulnerable due to him losing his parents, he was in a very vulnerable state which made it weirder and predatory that the author made the uke sweep in to take him in and take care of him. Again, the uke didn't mean anything bad with it, but it's only "fine" in our eyes because the author painted a cute picture and put on a sweet, romantic, and simple filter. It's fine to like the story as it is, but it's also healthier for readers to acknowledge how weird their situation is. It is weird, liking someone you know since he was 5 is weird, but uke's intentions were pure for the most part so it's not crossing the grooming line, but it still is weird.

I find it scary and sick to talk about grooming. Knowing the meaning of words is important to use it correctly because the meaning that term carries is heavy and serious and using it badly and lightly is terribly wrong. Grooming someone means that a person with sick inclinations takes advantage of someone's vulnerability with the aim of harassing or harming them. A man who hugs a child with the aim of grooming him because he sees him in a sexual way is literally sick and horrifying. Unfortunately there are also stories like this and the mere thought disgusts me. In this case, however, you understand that it makes no sense. The 20-year-old uke never had a single dubious intention towards the child. With all the purity in the world, he approached only and exclusively to help him. He felt sorry and wanted to save a child. I think the idea of abandoning him hurt him more since he had no one. You talk about grooming when literally he had the purest intentions and saved him from a horrendous life between foster homes and foster care.

The 5-year-old boy didn't fall in love right away, it's obvious that maybe it was gratitude at first, then it became a crush and admiration for the person who saved him. He never saw him as a father or a brother, but only as the one who took him in when he had no one. Who wouldn't feel love for someone who saves him? It's the oldest thing in the world to fall in love with someone you see as your superhero. Well, he did it in a very pure way and without inclinations. He was a child, after all. It's likely that he understood what he felt growing up during adolescence when he started to feel sexual urges. And anyway, one doesn't decide who to be attracted to or have feelings for. Not that the uke has never seen him that way and has never thought of him that way. Reading the letters, he took it lightly at first, then he got worried and when the letters continued, little by little his feelings evolved. How can you not develop feelings for someone who writes letter after letter with feelings that he has for you and loves you so much that he just wants to be with you? And I repeat, the most important thing is that the story starts and develops only when the boy is well into his adulthood. so I see this story in a very pure and cute way.

You edited your first comment which I initially replied to where you say you "don't understand" why people find it "weird" which I answered why people find it weird despite it not having grooming — it's because it tiptoes between those lines and closely resemble it, as simple as that. You said you don't understand so I wrote a comment explaining why they find it weird. Then you edited it and now defend that you think it's pure and question why people say negative things, this puts a different tone to your and my prior comment.

Nevertheless, if you read my comment again, you'll see I didn't say it's grooming, but it's still weird to like someone you met as a 5 year old and someone you took care of since he was that age. No amount of pure intentions and cute scenes can change that part of their situation. It is weird, but I'm not saying it's bad or that it's grooming

    K_THN September 17, 2025 10:50 pm

The bottom brought the top up and then the top had feelings for him and so for that reason it seems like it's a grooming. IMO I think the line here is kinda thin bc the bottom knew it and he tried to make the top fell out of love, however it was all in vain. Irl its real fcked up, but bcz this story itself is just an imagination (and its purpose is p0rn, and the genre here is what makes pp go for it), I don't really criticize it much. Rather, I consider it my guilty pleasure because I DO KNOW THIS IS ONLY MADE UP NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND IN REALITY WOULD LET THEIR MORAL BE CRASHED LIKE THIS EVER.
Again, ok as a story, a p0rn, whatever. No as a real thing in life. But I guess some pp can't just see these two things separately.

but what exactly are the problems with people who think, draw and normalize rape? I know perfectly well that when one reads omegaverse the position of an "omega" is very delicate and often mangala try to make it clear that they are only considered bodies to "entertain" the alphas... I understand that in some dark plots ugly scenes are also necessary... but fuck, now it seems that rape in yaoi and the gang in omegaverse is normal that uke/omega accept and have no problems with it. But you mangaka, how the fuck can you think and draw something like this with a light heart and then you put an adorable child in it and think you can lighten the shit of the "plot" that is not even a plot come on... then I lose a fucking karma because you treat everything as normal... oh well how disgusting I was thinking of a light and fluffy plot with this beautiful child but it's all abuse and rape and that's it. It's not easy for me to read this story and I'm sorry because the drawings are beautiful and the child is adorable.

I understand in some story for the atmosfere and the tipe of
heavy texture Something lithe that.. I DON’T LIKE, but I understand why there is something so horrible
BUT HERE?!?!
This is so easy, romantic, beautiful manga..don’t have fucking sense that
it only destroys the lightness of the work

No, an adult would go to jail if they slept with a 13 year old. Each prefecture has their own AoC law so Japan didn’t feel the need their national AoC law. It was still illegal in every prefecture.
