I feel like a lot of things were rushed, all things happening at the same time. They spent so much time in that prison and wasted so many chapters in their misunderstandings and the will they won't they type shit, but they ended multiple plotlines in just one chapter. Even the prosecutor's pathetic character development was such a big change, he looks like a completely different character. On one hand I'm happy that the baby's here and they've solved most of the conflict but everything was solved in one chapter, to the point that everything felt pointless. If it was this easy to handle it, then why did it have to be this long??? Even their "past relationship" was only brushed briefly, why introduce a plotline only to move past it just as soon as it was hinted at? And also!! Why did the prosecutor even rape and put MC behind bars if he was actually "in love with him" all this time? If he was this pathetic for MC, how or why did he even do all those god awful things? Idk bro, everything just feels so rushed, especially considering this is still just the few chapters of the new season.
I agree with everything you outlined!! I suddenly don't understand the timeline at all since they're now all of a sudden out of jail. Usually a new season will open on a new slate but we're just getting the rushed ending to the last season after all this wait...it feels like we're at the very end of a rushed manhwa with an overworked schedule instead.
While I'm not exactly pleased with how Fargo deals with Hyesung's past trauma, it does makes sense why his supposed to be heavy topics/scenes is pretty light hearted here, you can almost hear this funny/perky background music in kdramas/anime, it's prolly cause we should remember this is Byul's story with mostly his perspective. Byul doesn't understand how dark Hyesung's feelings towards his parents are cuz he doesn't know the full story and cannot fathom the pain as he is very much loved by everyone, so we don't see it here but if this was a chapter in Love is an Illusion, trust we'd feel the heaviness just like before bcs Hyesung is a depressed bih deep inside. Also, I'm not satisfied with how they dealt with Hyesung's relationship with his mom and Byul and Dojin's betrayal but I'm kinda glad that Hyesung is still given some realistic characteristics. In reality, a person who loves their parents so much def wouldn't get over them/completely cut ties with them especially if they see them again after a long time and they're not in a dark place anymore. Hyesung is in such a better headspace he has so much love in his heart that's why his hatred towards his mom isn't as strong anymore but he still questions why she abandoned him. In reality, that's just how complicated human emotions are, we're not one dimensional and don't feel only one emotion towards something.
Anyways, this seems to be the temporary end to this plotline, now let's get back to the cutesy couple. We still haven't seen them being couple-y since being a couple.
Wow, a nuanced comment, how refreshing. Agree 100%
Great point
