I've been out of school for a long time and I'm not close at all with most of the people I called friends or even best friends back then. I personally think it's only natural to form friendships with people when you're "stuck" in the same place for a period of time (like school or a work place), when that connection vanishes you might realize you d...... reply
I've tried some mindfulness exercises which are okay, but what works best for me is to lie down and close my eyes (or get outside and stare into nature) and narrate my favorite books or movies scene by scene in my head, in as much detail as possible. Great distraction. I end up making my own stories sometimes too. reply
I've read this so often in manga, can't say I know what that's like. Are you someone or do you know people who have an unrequited love for (many) years?
I got over my unrequited crushes (I say crushes now, it probably felt stronger at the time) pretty quickly (I'd say within half a year). But maybe my love (or interest) for those people wasn't that strong in the first place, it's hard to say looking back. So I'm really curious if you'd like to share.
There was one ex I was hung up on though, we were together for about 2 years, but couldn't make it work despite loving each other. After that I swore off romance because that break-up hurt so much (but I didn't want to get back together). Took me nearly 2 years to even get interested in someone again.
I'm looking for a manga, I don't really remember the details so some of this might be wrong. I think both main characters were in the same high school, their families were rival (traditional Japanese) theater groups and both guys were actors in those groups (I think one group was more traditional than the other and they were looking down on them for that?). One of the guys has a falling out with his family, and they end up running away together and form their own theater (or something). It might have been a oneshot included in some other volume or it wasn't finished because I don't remember what happend after that.
It's not "Hanakoi Tsurane" btw. Thanks for your help!
