Although I agree that the condition of divorcing her & the OG Syl not divorcing the OG Ophelia should’ve crossed her mind, he admits in later chapters that the whole reason he didn’t want to divorce her was because of her reckless behavior. OG Ophelia’s outlashes and abuse of her authority overshadowed the things Syl did behind closed doors (like the raising of taxes) which brushed people’s mind compared to gossip. Her obsession with the crown prince & the crown prince dating the OG fl when she’s married, wouldve eventually helped Syl divorce Ophelia & ruin the crown princes reputation—after all, that was his main goal; Syl wanted the second prince to be king. It benefited both of them, mostly benefited Syl, he’s not stupid. He had a plan, but it backfired on him.
The original Ophelia loved to live lavish and used her authority to abuse the og fl, original Syl basically needed a scape goat and a problem to ruin the crown prince’s position. I do think OG Syl might’ve even liked OG Ophelia, maybe not love, but original Ophelia’s obsession was way more crazy than I think the original Syl realized, thus it being used against them
I love the title of this manhwa. She's a married woman with a cheating husband; she's allowed to feel desire for someone who acts like he cares about her.
I'm not far in, but I hope she resists until she gets that evidence though!
