Why racist tho

A darker skinned character embodying the predator archetype? We’ve seen this problematic trope far too many times before. This blatant mishmash of Middle Eastern, Persian, and South Asian cultures is nothing more than offensive stereotypes that simply need to be called out as trash.

They made the dark skinned people lustful, sexually deviant, aggressive and described them as barbarous and said they made top quality slaves…

the same logic colonizers used when they then went out to rape, torture and own many groups of pocs from indigenous groups to African Americans. A mindset that sets a group of people as subhuman and more animalistic in character in comparison to others, justifying crimes against humanity, as according to them it wasn’t done to actual humans. This is just a hot mess ands it’s giving white savior complex

It's just a fictional story. Not every dark-skinned character is meant to represent a real culture or ethnicity. If you don't like how the story is written, that's completely fine, but calling it "trash" because of your interpretation doesn't mean everyone has to agree. Many of us read it for the characters and the plot, not because we see it as a reflection of real life.

Well, when you read the story, the kurkans are actually a lot better than other populations in the story. They are strong, true to themself. There are not greedy or snake like. They are true warriors who value friendship and love. I really love them. And the colour of their skin doesn't have anything to do with that. They just grew up in a hot country so their skin is tanned. As for their "ferocity" that's because their country can be dangerous for human. They learn to fight since a young age. It shouldn't trigger irritation from you. That's a work of fiction.
There are a lot of stories where it's the tribes of the north who are labelled as barbarians because they are fierce, they fight monsters there. People don't say anything when Northeners with white skin are depicted this way. No one yell "it's racism!" ? Why ? Why must we focus on the colour of the skin ? Why can't we enjoy a story independently from that ? They could be blue, like in Avatar, I wouldn't care !

Oh and by the way, if you read the story you will see that the author really defend the kurkans and condemn the other populations of the continent who are just ignorant, racist, selfish, easily fooled and corrupted. Read, you will see. The kurkans are the only one who are not corrupted by sorciery and fight against it.

Them being barbarians and slaves, is what the Estia people think of them. When the Princess went to their lands, she saw their true nature. That it wasn't true at all. They were far better people than those living in Estia. Also, ML doesn't force her. It was herself who asked for it, when they met for the 1st time. He loves her deeply.

But at the same time the author also played into the exact stereotypes they hate for the sexual gratification of the audience. The real stereotype that affects the real people the Ml is based on is so ingrained in society that the design of the character himself is rooted in said stereotype.

In the 2nd chapter they gave him extra sharp canine teeth as he licks her thighs alluding to him being more beastly in nature and ruggish and rough sexually (the exact stereotypes people have in the manwha). While yes phenotypically some races are bigger, smaller, and can have a variety of different features no race has animal fangs.

And while yes these races are made up, they’re all clearly based on real races and real stereotypes. The fl is obviously some kind of European, from her attire and the structure of their society, while he is clearly from West or East Asia and is influenced by many brown people and their cultures, based on his complexion and the location his people are from).
