I’m not usually into side couples (with very few exceptions), most people just hype them up for no real reason, in my opinion, but wow- this might be one of the best pairings I’ve ever seen, such a nice dynamic, and they’re a side couple?! Unfortunate. Phenomenal read overall.
Gobbling this one up, so much so I bought all the chapters on TappyToon. Shook by the rating on this website though, definitely doesn’t represent this story’s content at all.
Ah yes, a story that shows the gradual growth of an apathetic man becoming more emotional and caring, only to dedicate an entire chapter saying he did in fact change, as if that wasn’t the whole point of his characters story.
I’m praying to a God I don’t believe in that this doesn’t go in a weird, psychological, abusive direction. Every-time an author tries to romanticise unromantic behaviour, an angel loses its wings. Please.
Chapter 51 felt like a right hook to the face omg, the foreshadowing was so unexpected lol. Aaron Ligit says “As long as Yujin doesn’t leave me, everything will be fine.” Reading that after reading the first chapter for season 3 had me dead. Poor guy.
I noticed haekyeong’s personality shine through so much more the more comfortable he get’s with kwonlim, he’s not so shy or reserved. He never gets out of that shell with kwonyeong. He always seems to walk on eggshells around his so called “crush” but with kwonlim he can act a little grumpy and act a little more snarky, comfortably. Kind of like how with closer friends you’re able to poke fun at them, because you’re comfortable enough with one-another to understand you’re joking, and understand each other’s boundaries. Almost as if him and kwonyeong aren’t as close as he thought.
Didn’t expect shin to be so ride or die for the man he calls “bastard”. It’s so perfect :,)
Showing him experience that super high, high, his delusion still at its peak. Having this delusion slowly crumbling as he gets continuously rejected, revealing to Mok-yeon what he truly means to nanjo at this point and shattering his own perception of their relationship, throwing him into the really low, lows, locking himself away and failing to take care of his basic needs. His feelings are too extreme and as we can see, dangerous, he’s self destructive and inflicts pain upon himself (as a coping mechanism, I assume?). We saw it in season 1 with the earring.
I didn’t think this story would be up my alley since season 1 wasn’t really my personal taste (still enjoyed it), season 2 however, phenomenal so far, I’m super happy this story is leaning into the psychological aspect, showcasing a flawed mc struggling with clear mental health issues, and his self sabotage as a result of these mental health issues.(I tried to cut this short, hopefully it’s not too long)

Woo-won and Seo-an deserve peace from now on I swear, I felt like I was experiencing stress induced hair loss from the ongoing waves of problems.

Just re-read, not sure about this side couple comeback? I would’ve preferred side stories or a whole new story with new characters. It just seems random and I truly dislike the bully guy, him and the best friend just don’t make sense??? Never once do they directly interact and they never allude to any personal tension (the friend only acknowledges the bully’s existence when it comes to his interactions with Juwon).
A bit confused and will prob read just to see Juwon cause he’s such a well rounded character I truly loved seeing him while re-reading and is always the highlight on screen, for me personally.
This had everything I needed right now, the setting was so enjoyable and both characters being so clearly different they’re almost incompatible, it works for them so well though. I wish it was longer cause there’s so much more I wanted to see, the debt getting paid, Mikes backstory seemed so interesting and even Ethan’s backstory would’ve been interesting to see. No complaints though, can’t wait to revisit sometime in future.
Holy moly, first couple was almost unbearable, at first I thought they were alright, sorta boring but cute ig? But lawdddd they got so codependent and borderline abusive it was impossible to cheer them on. Jealousy like that is dangerous and ugly, Sukyun was truly unlikeable. Second couple were phenomenal and I honestly will re-read just for them cause that was a well written romance and the characters were more interesting (in my opinion ofc). Saw some hate about Jun so I really thought he was gonna be a problem but I thought he was lovely? He didn’t ruin the first couples relationship like many say, I believe the hate is misguided and should be directed a Sukyun.
I typically avoid yaoi with kids since it’s always mpreg and my gay self hates the “pregnancy scare” trope in general (it doesn’t really feel like it represents the beauty of queer family dynamics), but I can get behind these gems that show one way queer couples can actually end up having kids, it’s equally as beautiful and actually feels like representation, our sunny days is another great example, now I just need a story with an adoption. (This was my main talking point but the story overall was really enjoyable).
Gosh I love more realistic queer rep! Also everyone wishing Josh would bottom like it isn’t explicitly said he hates how bottoming feels… why do you all only ever want vers when it’s two buff guys? You’d never see “they should switch” on a stereotypical yaoi with a feminine bottom #noticing
I haven’t read this yet since I decided to let it marinate after finding out they are in a break-up era (quite a while ago mind you), every now and then I check on the reviews or posts to see if it’s safe to start, but somehow, Everytime I come back it gets worse, according to the small amounts I see and hear ._.
So refreshing and new, loved the super London specific details like an Oyster card and different land marks, it’s so fun and such a fitting setting. Love re-reading this story so much it’s so romantic and feel-good but also has complicated relationship troubles that aren’t just immature misunderstandings, feels more grown and such a nice break from the school yuri & yaoi I always see.
