Yes Jaekyung has an asshole personality. However, hes helped Doc Dan a lot. Paying off his bills, saving him from the thugs, being nice to his grandma, gave him a place to live and a job. It's not like hes beating up Doc or forcing him to stay against his will. It was a mutual agreement. Doc could have said no and Jaekyung could have found someone else to do it with. Like do yall really think an MMA fighter can afford being a softie, and Jaekyung has a lot on his plate as well.

Yes that was the agreement, pay off his debts and jaekyung gets some. Jaekyung went to the hospital when the grandma was sick and kept her company. If he was a complete asshole he wouldnt give a damn about her but he was actually nice to her. In the real world people arent going to pay off your debts for free, they will just look away. Jaekyung helped. Just cuz he doesnt romance him? Doc dan was getting beat up by the thugs on a regular basis and the last time they were all about to rape him. Jaekyung laid it out flat for him i need this from you, take it or you can go on your way. Doc weighed his options and went with what was better for him. Jaekyung doesnt have to let him stay with him but he does since he knows he cant go find a place. Doc dan now has money to help his grandma and for himself he doesnt have to stress about thugs or money.

Thats the thing it is NOT a relationship. It was/ is a transaction. Everything was clear up front. At least dan was given a choice, which he didnt have before.
Hard disagree. This is financial abuse as Jaekyung is making Doc Dan financially dependent on him. Doc Dan will feel pressured to give into Jaekyung bc he might lose his job, lose his home, and lose his grandma. If Doc Dan decides he no longer wants this arrangement, do you think Jaekyung will just let him go? Absolutely not. Consent is constantly needed, just because Dan agreed initially doesn’t mean Jaekyung has eternal permission to do whatever he wants.
Only difference between those thugs and jaekyung is that he’s rich, good looking, and has a career/reputation to uphold. You said it yourself, it’s a transactional relationship, so why do you say “he helps” as if it’s from the goodness of his heart? Sure, he’s not a complete asshole to a hospitalized senior citizen but that’s about all the credit id can give him. I’m only criticizing him like this knowing that this relationship will eventually turn into a romance. And I just can’t fathom how, when this is their dynamic right now.
