I read this and found the FL dumb and inconsistent from the start, but I kept reading hoping it’d get better. Nope. Thought I’d be in the minority since it has a 9.4 rating, but I’m glad the comments agree. Dropped.
i was about to disagree but after reading the recent chaps im also starting to doubt the story is going downhill
Story was solid, though sometimes too intense without a break (as others have mentioned). I just feel like the romance was lackluster. It’s not forced or anything, but I didn’t particularly like the ML even until the end. He just felt like another character who was created to push the plot, and the MC is the only one that felt dimensional.
too many things that need explanations as well, i understand that MC became the villainess since she's the best person in the role, but why is the ML there as well? he's not an actor to embody the role, he's the director
I didn’t even realize I had finished 59 chapters… It’s been so long since a manga/manhwa/manhua has been able to keep me engaged and not checking on the chapter number to see how much longer until I have to read just to catch up.

Exactly I read 59 chapter in one go as we the pacing. The world building everything was so good. Haven't found a manga like that in a while
Why does this FL feel strong and weak as hell at the same time… Like there’s zero explanation of how her necromancy powers work, how mana and gods affect this world, why those curses exist… Is that going to be explained later? Because so far, world building seems nonexistent.

True. Even though mostly us know some logic. But somehow this story make you think and solve things in your head. So far that I have seen, this mostly story about curse origin and how it work on someone. And it's also included folks tale about it right?. Idk but I just don't like to find it logical because it's is scary (￣∇￣") or the translation has some other meaning to it.
She kind of explains (with the talisman) that her power is the same as the ghosts so she can flush out curses by trying to overpower them with her own energy. Similarly the ghosts/curses are less effective towards her since she’s similar to them. She also did say the red tree was weak just high defensive power. The mouse seemed to be also a weaker ambushing venus flytrap type. Her strongest ability is honestly knowledge

Probably. It’s either: 1. A surviving bloodline of necromancers (might have skipped some generations), 2. It’s mostly bloodline but occasionally necromancers are born to non necros as a form of mutation, or 3. Unlikely (but I’ve read mangas where this happens) FL was born ages ago and was either magically sent to present time as a baby to escape the witch hunts or put in a magical cryostasis of some sort

I love the romance between the main leads and the age gap doesn’t bother me too much either, but I HATE how the author has to make every guy fall for the FL. It’s so annoying.
I opened the new chapter without really looking at what I was reading so for a second, I thought I’d clicked on a smut lol
Because of that blonde bitch’s existence since basically the start of the manhwa, I couldn’t read with a peace of mind :’) Even with the ML and FL finally got together, I couldn’t really enjoy it because I was just waiting apprehensively for the princess to make a move. Kinda makes me wish the author didn’t drag out the conflict in this way, because it just makes me feel anxious.
Lemon is great, but I feel like the MC guy is vastly inferior in comparison… like he’s nothing special, kind of?
Is the art in the later chapters just AI generated? I was reading up to chapter 28 and just wanted to check the most recent chapter to see how the story develops, but I was surprised by the art decline instead. The lines look so thick, and the brother’s face turned into a generic model with no distinct identifiers. In chapter 64, there’s a part where the emperor’s nose and lips are melded with his hand, too…
Although there probably has been a decline in the art style its not AI, the art melding together is the result of the person who is trying to clean up the artwork when they translate the text to english from korean, also since it is unofficial translation its most likely a small team of no more than 4 people trying to rush out chapters without fully double checking. But thats just my speculations based on other manhwas that slowly turned low quality over time
