I was actually planning to just sit back, enjoy the trainwreck development of this trashy boring Manhua, and ignore your post. But looking at how much of a validation seeker you are by making a whole new thread instead of replying to me directly, I felt the need to set things straight, let me help you understand something.

First of all, you are committing a classic strawman fallacy. When a reader calls a trope "typical" or "boring", they are criticizing the writer’s lack of creativity and poor execution, not dismissing the gravity of real world trauma. Anyone with basic reading comprehension can differentiate between real world social issues and lazy fictional writing. Mixing them up just to accuse someone of being "dangerously indifferent" is a huge stretch.

It’s also highly ironic how you preach about how "fiction affects you" and accuse me of being "insensitive," yet in the exact same breath, you comfortably defend a story where a thin child is sexualized. Talk about hypocrisy.

I don't mind dark themes, I just hate trashy and boring stories. If you enjoy poorly written shock value fiction, that’s your preference. But calling someone "dumb" just because they expect better narrative quality?

If you genuinely think stacking trauma like a checklist: bullying, suicidal thoughts, abusive/neglectful parents, serial killers target, is a "rarity" in fiction, then you just exposed how painfully limited your reading exposure actually is. Tragedy/trauma porn are literally the cheapest, most overused gimmicks in edgy, trashy Manhwa/Manhua (literally all fiction) to force instant sympathy without giving the character any actual depth.

Probs a hot take but I didn’t think the Jinx scenes were rape? Maybe before their contract was clear, yeah, but after I don’t think so? Like Kim Dan was treated like shit but that doesn’t mean he did not consent to it after he knew about the true meaning of his contract. What happened to Leewon in Roses and Champagne def was rape tho. Like that man was being kidnapped, manhandled, and shot at in that story.

I think that is too simple a mindset to have about rape. Not all rape is going to be extremely violent, sometimes is can be basically normal sex in all ways but consent. Rather than say rape should never be shown beautifully or with pretty art, it is more important to always show the fallout from those events, because that is never "beautiful."

All I know is, 99.99% of these stories are completely fiction, I don't lose sleep over shitty things that happen in fiction when there are real problems in the world.

I didn't meant how the rape looks. Is it violent or not. I meant that it should be drawn realistically, focusing on the victim's pain rather than focusing on beautifying the art.
