Let me start by saying that everything Im sharing comes from spending many years on this site, observing patterns across multiple accounts, and reading user reports. Im not the dev, mod, or admin but Ive had experience with systems which is why I can answer your “whys” and “what ifs”


THIS IS THE SITUATION
Jan19 - Bto closes
⠀⠀⠀*start of traffic surge to Mgo
⠀⠀⠀*some features have slowed down a bit
Jan24 - Mgo goes down
⠀⠀⠀*caused by backend updates or overloaded servers
Jan26 - Mgo comes back up
⠀⠀⠀*site is online again but very buggy: missing lists, random logouts, slow pages, no notifications, etc
⠀⠀⠀*this is when the system started gradually restoring lists

WHY IS THE SITE SO BUGGY
- Mgo uses separate parts for different things. One to SAVE your manga data (aka database/the memory), another one to DISPLAY your saved Manga data (aka UI/what you see), and another one for your browser/session data (aka cookies, login state, etc/this also connects the database and ui). When everything is working properly, these three systems stay in sync (eg. when you save a manga, it will show up in your list right away)

The system will communicate with Database, like hey this is the user that logged in go tell UI the things they should display. So Database will tell UI, like hey based on what's given to me, these are the saved data that belongs to this user, these are what you should display. HOWEVER, because of the gradual restoring of lists (which puts a heavy load on the site), the System, UI, and Database are not able to communicate properly, so theyre not in sync. This is why we’re encountering the issues

I DON'T GET NOTIFICATIONS
- since the System, UI, and Database are not in sync, Mgo cant correctly link your acc to your saved mangas so notifs dont show up/update properly. This is temporary and should be fixed when the system is in sync again

WHY DO I KEEP GETTING LOGGED OUT
- Mgo keeps track of your login/session info. But if this isnt tracked properly, Mgo may log you out randomly/repeatedly

WHERE DID MY LIST GO
- Your mangas are not deleted. Theyre still saved in the database. Mgo is gradually restoring everyone’s list from the oldest to most recent marked mangas. Follow this post to get notified about updates: https://www.mangago.me/home/mangatopic/21092806/

WILL I GET MY LIST BACK
- YES. Do note that while your list is coming back, you might notice some things are off:

⠀⠀⠀*missing notes/summaries
⠀⠀⠀*only rated mangas showing for some users
(I can explain why but it will be too long for this FAQ. idk how to explain without sounding too technical so i might also have to explain the basic terms. You can ask in the comments if youre curious)

I ADDED NEW MANGAS TO MY EMPTY LIST, WILL IT OVERWRITE THE OLD ONE
- if you ADD NEW mangas while the site is restoring, your new list will stay. And your original list will be added back on top of it once its fully restored. But if you RE-ADD EXISTING mangas, it will update the original date of when the manga was added, tags, and summaries/little notes you originally had for it. its usually best to wait and let the restoration finish before making lots of changes

WHY DO OTHERS HAVE THEIR MANGAS BACK ALREADY, WHILE MINE IS STILL MISSING
- think of this like we're reading through a giant BOOK of everyone’s manga list, arranged by the exact time each manga was added (aka timestamps). Each timestamp is like a page in the book, and we read them from the oldest timestamps to the newest. Right now, we are reading timestamps from Feb 2022 (as of writing this post), so any timestamp dated later than Feb 2022 wont appear YET

If your lists are still completely EMPTY, there are 2 possible reasons:
One is that its about “activity”, not account age. So even if you joined in 2016, but you didnt add any manga until 2023, your list wont appear until the system reaches the timestamps for 2023. The second reason is, since the system is very busy right now, it sometimes hits a blurry page and has to skip to keep moving. This doesnt mean your data is gone. It just means the system needs to go back for a second run once the "main reading" is done

HOW SOON WILL THEY COMEBACK / WHEN IS THE RESTORATION EXPECTED TO FINISH
- how soon your lists fully comes back depends on how far along we are in the “book” and how many timestamps we still need to read. If yours already started to appear again then thats a good sign. it means your account is already in the queue and the rest should continue to come back (gradually, not all at once)

If theres another run, expect anywhere from a few extra hours to about one extra day. A full second pass could push it to Feb 4–5, but a partial cleanup run would likely finish around Feb 2–3.

IS THERE A WAY TO EXPORT MY LIST

IMPORTANT: WHEN TO CONTACT SUPPORT
- PLEASE WAIT. Do not email the devs yet. The system needs to make several runs to load everyone's data correctly. Most of the current issues should fix themselves after the full restoration process is done. Give it at least 2 weeks from now.

If after everything finishes and youre still seeing clear errors in your marked mangas, report them to [email protected]

If possible, keep a small log of your observations and what you did, such as:
⠀⠀⠀*whether you re-added, edited, or deleted mangas during restoration
⠀⠀⠀*any repeated issues (random logouts, missing notifs, errors, etc.)
⠀⠀⠀*the other specific errors you noticed
Simply put, keep a log of WHAT YOU DID/OBSERVED and WHEN (use GMT or if in your local time, specify your timezone). The more specific your report is, the easier it is for the devs to trace what went wrong. It helps them replicate your actions so they can actually find and fix the problem

Here's an example log:

2026-01-28 2AM: my list is restoring up to 67
2026-01-28 9PM: I added 10 mangas to my Already Read
2026-01-30 6PM: my restored mangas is stuck at 67

Now on to the current issue. I'm posting this here because a lot of yall are concerned. I’m not saying closing down sites is not possible. It’s just not as easy as people think.

MGo has gotten into trouble with authors before. Many times now actually. The worst case was when the author themself created an account here and threatened to take legal action against jjcat (the uploader of said author's manhwa), other uploaders, the readers, and the site itself. They even got other authors involved.

In the end though nothing really major happened beyond the comments being disabled. MGo's comment section eventually came back and jjcat continues to upload--many many other works at that

ETA FOR MORE CONTEXT
Back then things spiraled fast and got way too much attention. Users were panicking and posting all over MGo similar to what is happening now but much worse. Comment sections were flooded people were mass reporting and messaging the site and everything got chaotic especially with a legal threat happening publicly.

Disabling comments helped calm things down on MGo’s side but it did not actually solve the problem. The people involved just took it elsewhere (twttr). Lzhn and wbtn also ended up being pulled into it too (bc the author's work was serialized on lzhn). Its been nearly 5 years now, and MGo is still running and the uploader involved was never taken to court

TL;DR
i know it CAN play a role, but just getting exposure is not enough to close a site. Mgo has faced several disputes, even lzhn and wbtn somehow got involved, but the site is still running and jjcat was never held accountable.

I think a lot of commenters lack the ability to read controversial topics without thinking that the author aligns themselves with the controversial viewpoint. I'll js go over some stuff that people are not understanding:

1. That guy calls himself a humble slave because it is clearly sarcasm. He has a cocky personality; he rides in on a horse, makes a ruckus, calls the farm his own and calls himself a humble slave. It is supposed to be jarring and in your face, thats just his PERSONALITY.

2. People are saying that this will follow the white saviour trope, but how do you know that? Yea, sure, it's a very prominent trope, but if we are looking at the history of this specific event, white racist Americans fought slightly less racist Americans to advocate for human rights. The white people WERE the "saviours".

3. That guy isn't a confederate. Seen a few people saying that this is the equivalent of a story between a nazi and a jew or a japanese soldier and a comfort woman, but it fundamentally isn't because he is not a confederate. Am I saying his family was not racist, No! They still had only coloured workers, but that in general was common during this era due to sharecropping.

Pls stop arguing like this in the comments, so many of you jump the gun to assume racism and it cheapens the argument other people have when pointing out real racism. Let at least 10 chapters release before we make these racist accusations. I have seen some valid arguments, and I understand where quite a few people are coming from, but the yelling and insulting is js childish and ineffective. And most of all remember you are pirating this, the author does not recieve your support. Whether we read it or not, the author does not earn a penny, nickel or dime. There are worse things to read.

I just wrote this LONG summary for someone, but I thought it'll be useful for my spoiler seekers xD Summary starts from their Hong Kong trip and on --

• They sleep together for the first time in Hong Kong. After returning, Yeehyeon’s uncle from his hometown shows up at Morae and Yeehan’s house. Yeehyeon pulls him aside so the couple won’t see him and get distressed. The uncle explains that Morae’s dad, Mr. Lim, is using the family debt as an excuse to pressure them about the three of them running away. He wants them to come back and “stop the childish love” stuff. Yeehyeon asks for 24 hours before he shows up again. This is where things take a turn.

• Yeehyeon shows up at Liu’s place in the middle of the rain, completely soaked and distressed, asking for help. This is when Liu abandons his resolve and fully devotes himself to Yeehyeon, letting go of his control as a Golden Alpha after seeing how vulnerable he is. Liu comes up with an elaborate plan: (1) pay off the uncle so Mr. Lim loses his leverage, and (2) relocate Yeehan and Morae to Bali. In exchange, Yeehyeon agrees to become a signed artist for Phantom. They sleep together that night, and the next morning they deal with the uncle and send Morae and Yeehan off to the airport.

• Yeehyeon starts living in Liu’s basement. Liu assigns him a private driver and tells him not to go anywhere without the car so Mr. Lim can’t find him. Yeehyeon stops working at Phantom and focuses entirely on painting at Liu’s place. His world becomes much smaller, and since Liu provides everything—housing, food, flights, opportunities—Yeehyeon feels extremely uncomfortable being so tied to Liu without independence.

• After about two months of sleeping together (knotting basically every time, sometimes multiple times), Yeehyeon starts showing signs of “Changing.” He assumes it’s just indigestion and tells Liu he’ll go to the hospital since it’s not improving. Liu panics, worried that Yeehyeon will find out the truth—that he’s becoming an omega—so he goes to Inwoo and confesses everything. They have a huge fight, but Liu eventually convinces Inwoo to help him make Yeehyeon believe it’s just indigestion, at least until after the Chicago trip, when Liu promises to tell him. Inwoo only agrees because he doesn’t want Yeehyeon to find out in a traumatic way.

• During the Chicago trip, they exchange their first “I love you.” Liu is clearly falling apart from the guilt of keeping the secret as their relationship deepens. Even though he’s known for controlling his pheromones, he basically becomes a slave to Yeehyeon’s and starts showing strong protectiveness toward his “omega.” Terrified of losing him, Liu begins acting out of character—like planning to open a New York branch of Phantom and taking Yeehyeon there to isolate him and increase the chances he won’t leave. Yeehyeon agrees to relocate since Yeehan and Morae are in Bali, and nothing is holding him back except his Phantom family. At the same time, he receives an offer from “The Hands” in Paris—an organization supporting independent artists. It’s a great opportunity for his independence, but he chooses Liu instead.

• After the Chicago trip, about a week before leaving for New York, Yeehyeon accidentally learns the truth from Shushu. He goes to Inwoo first because he can’t trust Liu. Inwoo admits he knew and explains his side. Yeehyeon tries to leave, feeling betrayed again, and Inwoo—like a dumbass—kisses him and makes it about himself. Yeehyeon brushes it off as a mistake.

• This becomes a huge issue later with Liu, who grows extremely possessive and jealous. He becomes the kind of “alpha” he hates. Yeehyeon gets checked out, confronts Liu, and tells him he’s “pregnant”—basically bluffing to force the truth out. He says he’s 50% omega and plans to visit his dad instead of going to New York. Liu admits he’s a “ghost” who can turn betas into omegas, but hides the part about Yeehyeon being “diamond dust” because he doesn’t want him blaming himself.

• Liu later visits Yeehyeon in his hometown. Yeehyeon decides to accept The Hands offer instead of moving to New York, saying he needs independence. They agree to keep in touch, but neither of them reaches out for about a year.

• During that time, we see their separate lives. Liu basically becomes a ghost—smoking constantly, abandoning the New York branch idea, and carrying the “Isolation” painting everywhere. He eventually goes to Bali to see Morae and Yeehan, planning to watch from afar. Morae immediately recognizes him from Yeehyeon’s “Mr. Rabbit” drawing and takes him to their bar, showing him the drawing. That’s when Liu decides that even if they don’t get back together, he’ll stay close and watch from afar. He gets an apartment near The Hands (the narration makes it sound less creepy).

• Meanwhile, Yeehyeon fully commits to his art like a full-time job. He joins a support group for people who manifest as alphas or omegas later in life and starts educating himself. He realizes he never really tried to understand things from Liu’s perspective as an alpha with pheromones, or how different people’s lives are from a “beta-centric” POV.

• After about a year, he learns about “diamond dust,” but even before that, he decides to get back together with Liu. He recognizes that Liu’s mistake doesn’t define him entirely, and instead focuses on what they shared—their connection to art, feeling alive together, emotional vulnerability, and intimacy. The author doesn’t gloss over Liu’s wrongdoing; they work through it slowly with a lot of communication.

• Even after getting back together, they stay long-distance for a while until Yeehyeon becomes a recognized artist. They eventually get married at Phantom (Yeehyeon’s father shows up to the wedding) and they move to Bali to open a Phantom branch there. Yeehan and Morae have a child. Yeehyeon fully becomes an omega, experiences his first heat, which triggers Liu’s first rut. The story ends with Yeehyeon becoming pregnant and a baby shower where it’s revealed they’re having a girl.

• Regarding smut scenes: ooof, they’re super hot. Lingerie play, phone sex, heat/rut, lots of dirty talk, lots of them admitting their jealousies and possessiveness from both sides.

There's a lot more nuances I didn't cover, but I assume this is plenty for now? :D

It's a chinese bl novel where the mc dies because of poison, at first the mc was afraid of the ml and didn’t want to talk or interact with the ml. When he died he was watching the ml rise to the throne and took revenge and then the ml killed himself using the hairpin of the mc or something. Then the mc went back in time where they got married to the ml and since the mc knew the future and that the ml truly loves him the mc accepted the ml’s hand. Then they had twins due to the mermaid ancestors of the mc. They even call eachother as “wangfei” and “wangye”. Or the ml would call the mc as “nounou”

does anybody know a manhwa that's completed and just exactly like this? yaoi that has comedy, fluff and the top is a green flag?

Details - The uke and seme share a bickering kinda friendship. One day when they were alone uke (directly, indirectly) confessed that he likes men. Seme is shocked but he also understands him. Noone other than seme knows in their class. They studies in same class

Later in the manga seme had to move to a different city, town but he promises uke that he'll return and wait for him. Seme after moving to a different city had a second thought and got scared of society. He then marries a woman to live a "normal" life. He never contacted uke (who remains unknown that seme is married now) but deep down seme regrets it everyday.

Unknown to the fact, uke never goes into another relationship. He continues waiting for seme but years have passed so he decided to go to the city, town seme is in and searches for him. Somehow he stumbled with semes wife who learns uke is friends with seme. So she invites him over to dinner without telling seme. Seme after work arrives home. while his wife is preparing their dinner doorbell rang. Seme went to open the door and is shocked to see uke at the doorstep. His wife tells she invited him for dinner. Seme excuses himself saying he wants to catch up and buy some ingredients to his wife he leaves with uke and outside he reminded of the past. He apologize profusely to uke. He tells him he got scared. Uke who is heartbroken puts on a smile
