They try so hard to portray her as wise or witty, but she is just plain dumb, her saying the Duke shouldn’t try to overthrow the future king because things are good as they are, is just so selfish and immature.
Even tho he is a stalker and was almost ganged raped, the thing that bothered me the most is he didn’t denounce his attackers even though he knows them. Now, some poor and unbeknownst omega will be gang raped and it was totally preventable. Because if they are bold enough to kidnap, threaten to kill and beat a person that knows them, they can do it to a random someone.
this is a bit unfair tho, irl a lot of victims dont pursue legal action against their assailants bc theyre afraid, being threatened, arent believed, etc. this doesnt put the blame of the assailants attacking another person onto the first victim, even if them reporting them could have prevented more attacks. even tho jaeon is an annoying character, he shouldnt be blamed bc someone else chose to continue committing crimes.
He has a share of responsibility. He could prevent it, he has 2 witnesses, and both are willingly to testify, he has a solid case. It isn’t just words against words, he was drugged and beaten.
sorry its been awhile since ive read the novel, but who are his willing witnesses? if ur counting inha, why wouldnt jaeon also report inha for assault too then? this is putting too much faith in the author for doing the right thing when they do not care about assault victims in this story
