She has lived for 17years but acts and thinks like a 3year old that can’t remember nothing, twice in the beginning she walked into a “trap” by saying “im a fake, I need to go so no one suffers” TWICE !!!
well, taking into account that she lived isolated from the world and abused for a decade, I think her actions are quite accurate. She's not retarded, just conditioned by her environment. Throughout the story, she grows out of that mentality. It's was a pretty good character development
They try so hard to portray her as wise or witty, but she is just plain dumb, her saying the Duke shouldn’t try to overthrow the future king because things are good as they are, is just so selfish and immature.
