Everyone is making fair points about why the main characters aren’t fighting yet. My theory is that it’s because this technically isn’t the biggest threat in the series. Cath was originally the Seven Deadly Sins’ enemy first, so it makes sense that they’re the ones planning to finish what they started.
Because of that, I’m betting there’s another major villain waiting in the background, and that’s the real problem. That could also explain why Arthur and Merlin have disappeared. We still haven’t met Mordred either, who is supposed to be Arthur’s greatest enemy in the lore. It just doesn’t make sense that their king hasn’t returned yet.
My guess is that after the Sins defeat Cath, someone else will take his place as the next embodiment of Chaos. That will probably be the real battle that our new heroes have to face.
Knew the brother was similar to the ML just knew it called it ages ago!
Theory I reckon that ML has gotten that little cure wrong, I reckon the powers the ML gained was the MC trying to save him. I think the brother is the past life was after this power etc something past MC became aware of. And is some twisted sense of spite and to get rid of the ML he was gonna use him as a sacrifice (cause come on there’s always a sacrifice). So MC interfered trying to save him while also stopping the brother. Which was successful to some extent the power was shared between the ML and brother but the brother wants it back. Other theory was that he was drugged all controlled but I think that’s a little too easy for this kind of plot, it’s got to be tragic cause that’s the pay off. The MC always loved him, even at the end which is why I think he was so quick to fall in love with the ML lingering feelings of the soul for anyone thinking it’s so quick also his upbringing plays a role too.
Now I don’t know how much we can trust that cure, I’m pretty dam sure the mc has not got a black tinged heart, but the brother does he was probably obsessed with the MC in the past which is why he’s so protective of him isolating him. Using the father to find him and take him back.
I can see a scene in which the ML stabs the MC only to realise he fucked up his powers disappear and the brother takes them back, laughing in the ML face as he reveals the truth of that night. Leaving the ML distraught and powerless as the brother takes the MC away. “Yes this was how it was supposed to be” end of season 2
I knew, and I call it now, the brother is like ML! He’s immortal and knew mc in a past life.

The shadow in chapter 23 is a snake wrapping around MC.
In the photograph (might be a stretch), the brother, with the father, step-brother, and MC there, has his hand on his shoulder. Sort of like a pet / a hint that the brother is in charge.

I reckon he used the father to get MC and keep MC, tortured him, etc., in order to mc to rely on him.
God I hope in season 2, angel get his villain arc kills the grandfather and declares war and Enzo you are an idiot for ever trusting him, everything now is you un-doing. So in the beginning of the chapter blonde guy, throws a fruit at Thai and Thai says he smells of blood and asked if he’s been in an unauthorised fight. Blondie also says had been to the gourmet club.
Flash forward to the grape scene at the gourmet club they said it was his first time there, and at the end of the present scene with see the same fruit he throws at Thai covered in blood.
I think these scenes are out of place. They’re there for shock value, so I think that he actually killed all those guys.
And the reason he was so disrespectful to the food was because of what went down there. However, Thai doesn’t know this, so he looks like an upper-class nobleman.

The brother actually scares me a little and it’s kinda disturbing and ironic when he called his brother a monster yet tortured and broke the mind of his brother best mate like Jesus I think I’m gonna wait this out this flashback is taking so long and consider where we end up in the ch 1 things obviously got real.
But I hope he’s little brother realises it soon cause it seems like they have weaponised the guides against espers like so far they are the real monsters.
Theory - like could it be possible for the ghost marshmallows be the spirits or remnants of his ancestor's or something been thinking about it for a while as it would make sense why they are so protective over him and warmed up to him so quickly as well as why they don’t like mugo and mugo don’t like them.
