+1, it's hot but it doesn't have the steam

For me too, how do i say it? Its just too bland?
I think the excitement of them being together has already vanished for me with these long brakes between each uploads.

It's because their relationship it's not on it's peak yet. there's still some shit to fix

It's kinda like a love story between 2 complete different creatures(?).
They're made to think differently, they're so instinctively different to the point where it's difficult to even notice "signs" or understand what the other person is thinking at all.

This point reminds me of another story The Snake that Swallowed the Pomegranate; where 2 of the main characters are a dragon who falls in love with a human and despite loving him so much, he could never understand what he needs or wants and ends up hurting him instead while trying to give him everything he *thinks* could make him happy.

Plus ever since Edgar was born, everyone, including himself has been thinking "he's going to die", I don't think he was even aware that Rose could heal him? I don't think he *wanted* to die, more so he had just accepted it since long ago, "it is what it is" kind of common sense.
So naturally other things like clearing one's feelings of guilt before he dies would become more "important".

Rose probably also cursed the entire bloodline because he's literally still angry. He's angry with the Otises, so he will continue to curse the Otises. Simple as that.
I inferred that since even Charlotte described it as "his wrath".

All in all the whole curse is just pure tragic and unfortunate I feel.

edgar life wasn't easy especially when he was ill and his brother always mistreated him.
his aunt actually cared for him and she tried to help him but he refused..
and that's a pure stupidity tbh
but he is probably an infp so that's why he accepted his brother bs
and i don't like these characters at all

him still being nice to neil and telling rose to help him started everything and he truly should've known or at least read rose feelings cause edgar is a sympathetic person (like bro u r only good at being nice and sympathetic why didn't u use it with rose ughhh)

and i can't blame rose cause he is a monster who doesn't have any common sense but i still dislike him alot and its true that he is still angry

neil is trash too ofc but i don't see that he deserves all of this he hated poverty and his brother who took all the attention from him(sick behaviour ofc) but neil faced and still facing his choices
and edgar? nothing he choose to die even when he had the biggest 2 chances and found his significant other who could actually help him

That's a very fair way to look at it, I really like how the author write the characters, they feel really realistic.
Edgar feeling guilty towards his brother his whole life must've been so tiring. Sometimes people like them just can't put themselves first, maybe even felt that the abuse was justified because of that guilt, so they don't see it as abuse.
Maybe if only Rose and him met earlier and hung out more. I wonder will he come to learn to love Rose as much as he does him.. And maybe then he could learn to love himself?
That actually feels like a repeated message in the whole story now that I think about it.

I guess I personally don't really hate any of the characters? I really enjoy how distinctively different they are though of course I do like some more than the others.
Neil lacked empathy, in situations where one would usually feel empathic for a person he blames them instead. Like how he naturally thought his brother should've just died earlier... Mnn. And when he fails in life he becomes a drunkard... =-=
Edgar's soft and kind, depressive? Possibly. (Maybe he smh absorbed all the empathy Neil left behind in the womb but I digress-) =v=;

Anyways all in all Charlotte's the best. Yay- v0/

yeah this manhwa characters are really unique and all of them had their own reasons (even though if i don't agree with them)
it's actually one of the best stories

yeah honestly charlotte has a strong mindset even when she grew up in a really bad situation with no one to guide her
she saw her family collapse one by one but she hoped for the future

Yes, in my opinion the side stories aren't even "side" stories, they just continue chronologically after chapter 75. Chap 75 didn't feel like an ending in the first place, and there's like enough of these "side stories" to make a season or two. The end of the side stories has a nice finish to it too, one that feels like an ending.

I get what you mean but some people in a relationship can’t just ‘leave’.

If you think about it , mc sacrificed his future career for ml a long time ago and has no job. How will a sick man support himself with no job?

Also people in abusive relationships usually have different mindsets like ‘things will get better’ or ‘if I do better maybe he’d love me like he did before’.

Mc has no one except ml: his parents, grandfather etc are all gone. This can lead to a heavy dependence on ml. Mc has spent most of his years with ml and this can lead to thoughts such as ‘who am I without him?’

I can somewhat agree that he doesn’t have much self respect, but this would be due to circumstances I just listed - which I believe cannot be judged by people who are not experiencing the same exact situation. ╥﹏╥

yeah and this is the problem he left everything just to be with the ml, and this is literally the definition of zero self respect and being dumb
