Yk when you see a ship and is absolutely sure they will last? This one is the opposite of that to me. I can't see them having a healthy romantic relationship in the long run. What I can see is just things getting worse as time goes by, because of their abysmal differences in all aspects and her inferiority complex. IMO it'd be so much better for her to be with Lucas, (ik it's impossible ). Maybe it's just my second ML syndrome talking but I feel like his love was more genuine in a way, like he loved her personality as much as he loved her appearance, and Vincent seems to me that he loves her DESPITE her appearance... Also I can totally see Lucas falling in love with her in different circumstances, but I cannot see the same with the ML... Idk I just feel he's not the best choice for her. She suffered so much in her life and he contributed to some of that pain, albeit unknowingly, in a way I don't find romantic at all. She needs someone who will find her beautiful first like Lucas did.
I want to add that I don't hate Vincent at all, for a ML he's nice actually. It's just when comparing him with Lucas that specific difference between their love for Paula started to bother me a lot. How am I supposed to still act like the ML is the most deserving of FL when the 2nd ML, which only appeared to be used as a plot device btw, was lowkey more sincere than him?
I was actually expecting OLD MEN yaoi with no minors involved, like I was promised but oh well. Yeah sure, it gets better in the latter volumes, however you can't ignore that beginning with wtv the fck is going on between the seme & the students. And yes, I've read it until the end and no, I'm not buying that as just being a misunderstanding arguments.

Maybe it's because I'm a very petty person but it's extremely hard for me to empathize with Jooan. If I was in Seojoon's shoes I'd never forgive him, even after all that chasing and explaining.
Like I get it, the whole "idealized first love" vs "the one who's been with you all along" parallel is supposed to be the whole point of their romance, but to me just thinking about the insecurities Jooan gave Seojoon during those FIFTEEN years is enough to not make their relationship worth it imo.
But that's on me. I'm always reading these stories hoping for the uke to turn over a new leaf and heal with someone new, knowing full well that's not gonna happen and getting disappointed lol.
