It had so much potential but the progression of the story telling is a mess and a lot of things make no sense. Also I kinda feel bad about the brother, he's trash but he didn't deserve all that yk, it was excessive and not satisfying imo.

I'm at chapter 14 and it's sending me how the plot is basically that facebook meme "sad story: don't you know who gave you the heart " lol

She really did choose the wrong twin, didn't she? lol
It's also scary how the ML reads like an actual real life man... The paternalistic and male chauvinistic way of thinking, the useless pride, how he failed to understand her hurt until it was almost too late, because for him she was just being childish, how he treated her like a possession and didn't care about her thoughts or opinions, the way he ruined her life knowingly when he didn't even like her just her looks... Like it hits a little bit too close to home, ngl

This one is so good that it's the first regret/chasing story I've read this year that I'm not even the tiniest bit mad at the ending. The ML's backstory and the narrative progression were so well done to the point I actually rooted for them to back together. And this happens like almost never, so yeah it's peak.

I'm always reading these type of stories because I love seeing the ML suffering during the chasing arc, but man, I hate the inevitable "happy ending" when they get back together

Maybe it's because I'm a very petty person but it's extremely hard for me to empathize with Jooan. If I was in Seojoon's shoes I'd never forgive him, even after all that chasing and explaining.
Like I get it, the whole "idealized first love" vs "the one who's been with you all along" parallel is supposed to be the whole point of their romance, but to me just thinking about the insecurities Jooan gave Seojoon during those FIFTEEN years is enough to not make their relationship worth it imo.
But that's on me. I'm always reading these stories hoping for the uke to turn over a new leaf and heal with someone new, knowing full well that's not gonna happen and getting disappointed lol.

Yk when you see a ship and is absolutely sure they will last? This one is the opposite of that to me. I can't see them having a healthy romantic relationship in the long run. What I can see is just things getting worse as time goes by, because of their abysmal differences in all aspects and her inferiority complex. IMO it'd be so much better for her to be with Lucas, (ik it's impossible ). Maybe it's just my second ML syndrome talking but I feel like his love was more genuine in a way, like he loved her personality as much as he loved her appearance, and Vincent seems to me that he loves her DESPITE her appearance... Also I can totally see Lucas falling in love with her in different circumstances, but I cannot see the same with the ML... Idk I just feel he's not the best choice for her. She suffered so much in her life and he contributed to some of that pain, albeit unknowingly, in a way I don't find romantic at all. She needs someone who will find her beautiful first like Lucas did.

A little bit of "problematicness" is very much necessary for the achievement of True Romance. A completely green flag story would never be able to be this romantic, that's the truth.

I feel so healed after finishing this one; it has everything I've been looking for in a revenge story <3
