I adore the MC & ML & the plot is good for the most part but it lacks cohesion & feels random at times.
The MC invests in a scheme a friend recommends, to make money using his own savings but then owes money to loan sharks- why? It’s implied that his friend who recommended the money making scheme took out the loan & put the MC’s name on it as a cosigner without the MC’s knowledge but how is that even a thing??
The MC & ML were good friends in high school but the MC just randomly totally forgets about the ML & no longer recognizes him? The ML recognizes the MC but never says anything- why?
The MC decides to become a gangster to work off this random loan & find the guy who scammed him. He gets a job working for the loan sharks & the ML is the boss. The whole working to pay off the loan situation is vague.
The MC was in his second year of law school on a scholarship when this all happened. It’s unclear if he dropped out or is taking a break.
I get that authors will do this & wrap things up throughout the storyline but these things all just feel random to me.
Overall I like it but feel like it cld be so much better.
The first part is somehow pretty fucking common in debt manhwa (much to my dismay), I've seen ones where they just take their thumb print while the person is asleep, or steal their stamp or just plain forge their signatures. The loan was taken by the friend from a shady af loan shark so ig it makes sense that they wouldn't really care whether the signature is forged or not or who pays back the debt or not, as long as they get the money all should be good. So yeah a very common plot.
The reason why the mc doesn't remember shit? Who knows? Maybe he had a head injury in the past. Or maybe he just couldn't be bothered to remember some friend he made in high school for a couple of months after his life went to shit (his grandma getting sick and dying, getting into law college on a scholarship, getting into a debt). It's probably an amnesia subplot tho.
As for why the ml doesn't tell him? Idk tbh. Maybe he sees no reason to. Like I said it was a few months at best that they spent with each other. Maybe the ml assumed the mc didn't care much about those memories and so he forgot. Maybe that's why he isn't saying anything first. Or maybe he just doesn't want to involve mc in his life considering how tangled up he is in the mob world.
I don't really remember cus it's been a while but I always thought that the mc stopped taking payments from the mc cus obv he wouldn't want mc to live a debt ridden life. That and the fact that both of them are actively searching for the friend so he can pay it back himself. At most the ml could just dock a little bit of mc's pay for a pretense, like look I'm still taking monthly payments from you.
I think he said he dropped out? He was planning to join a gang and we've seen how he was all gung ho about doing anything to get his revenge. I mean a law student wouldn't really go around cutting off fingers lol.
Tho ngl I also feel that the plot is really random at times but I find the non spontaneity a bit fun lol

I have only read to chapter 6 & although the art isnt my preferred style i give this 10/10 stars! So far it’s hilarious!
Tedious, & inconsistent so i skipped ahead to the end after like chapter 30. I like the MC but i feel like his character cld have been better written. His ex-husband was a basic ex. The backstory btwn the MC & ML was cliche but really cute nonetheless.
I was looking forwards to the next chapter dropping & chapter 27 didnt disappointment but what tf is going on in chapter 28? It feels like a filler chapter. Am i missing something?

Fr fr it’s not even breadcrumbs at this point! We were straight denied! I wld have settled for the tried and true interrupted almost kiss or awkward af sleepover! I felt the disappointment in my chest.
This had potential, but the character development falls short & it has so many tedious & pointless conflicts. I also found holes in the story. I did however love Miltea who was unapologetically himself.
The love interest has some serious misogynistic & contradictory view points. At one point he calls out miltea for his assumed promiscuous behavior but he himself is promiscuous. He also calls out Miltea for sexual behavior at work but then sleeps with him in his office multiple times. The love interest gives off cis gender republican male
Worth the read though. The art is beautiful.
This is one of the best BL’s i have ever read! The character development is thorough; u will fall in love with some characters & hate others. But what impressed me the most was the effortless flow of the story with no forced, tedious, unnecessary or repetitive conflict. Additionally its long & the story never feels off or drug out. I never once skimmed or jumped ahead, which i do often. It kept my ADHD attention effortlessly.
I wanted to like this b/c i loved the art style but i can’t. The uke is annoying af. The seme never respects the uke’s boundaries & constantly disregards him & his consent. The whining for sexy time, the rough sexy time with BS apologies afterwards (he keeps doing it & an apology without change is just manipulation)- the “i just cldnt control myself” um sir ur a grown ass man, be so for real.
It was pretty good, a little abrupt and comically redundant but if u need closure or a decent ending, u wont find it here.
Ugh, i find it tedious & I love a slow burn but this is painfully slow. I skipped ahead- it cldnt keep my toddler level attention span. Am I still gonna read it- of course, now I’m vested & i need to know what happens.
