this story is not romance in any capacity. it's more like psychological horror. The story is about an abusive relationship and it doesn't romanticize it at all (which is the only good thing about the story). I think it shows the sad truth about a lot of abusive relationships and the effects it has on the mind and body. It's hard to leave a relationship like that and failure only results in worse treatment. and this story shows us that. I think it also gives perspective on how we often only hear about the the people who were abused who made it out successfully, and u truly never know what's going in people's lives.
I would not say this is a terrible story, as I think it was somewhat eye opening and it definitely evoked emotion (such a hatred, dissapointment, sadness towards the character). read at your on risk as it has mentions/scenes of psychological, emotional, and physical abuse, suicide and rape.
i'm really enjoying it so far but i'm scared there's gonna be more toxicity/harm being done (not angst). i'm aware that their dynamic is already questionable given how they started but I hope it doesn't get any worse.

as a side note, who in their right mind approved this? I feel like damaging a story like this is ruining the author's reputation (at the platforms as well, somewhat). I understand their milking it but I feel like doing this will prevent readers from enjoying other stories they might publish bc the author kinda just became untrustworthy?

if i recall it right, after this she and ml will start the rebellion and build their own kingdom, at some point she was stalked by the viscount again. she tried to run away, the viscount demanded her to have sex with him and he will spare her life but she refused and threw herself off the cliff. Injured badly, got amnesia and... had miscarriage.
