I think it's related to "waiting". Mikki waited for Her friend "Kana" while Chisa waited for Nekota to say sorry. But while they were desperately (maybe it's too much of a word haha) waiting, a cat showed up. Now I'm thinking it must be a mental or psychological thing. It must have been ingrained to their minds that Nekota is a cat because of the event/happening that I've mentioned above. As to why they can see his human face again, I won't dig deep and what I think triggered that is the realisation of love or just love. You know what they say, love is the most powerful force in the universe, I guess even powerful enough to remove something ingrained to their minds.
Ok don't get me wrong, I love Sonnya but she's too rash in making desicions. I get that she loves her brother but she's hurting the people around her :(. Zed used his powers a lot to find info abt the drugs and xero died because she was held on a leash. Idk guys I really tried understanding her, like if I was in her situation, but I still really don't like that she acts before she thinks. I really like the story though so while I'm reading it I just make up an excuse for her actions with the fact that she loves her brother.
