This is a very unique plot. I haven’t encountered one like this before. I agree with the other comments saying Jio is likely an unreliable narrator due to the passage of time spent in the portrait. I’m excited to see what comes next.

Is similar in themes, mainly an MC that doesn’t realise their impact on reality, and a mystery about who they really are. The cast is much bigger though, and if you aren’t into the art style, it might not be for you. A bit more of brash humour too. But definitely give it a shot if you enjoy unreliable narrators! They make the whole thing hilarious
