OK, Guwon has to be aware of the looping in some capacity. His words to Jinwoo the last chapters he was still alive HEAVILY imply it ("To me, dying isn't that big of a deal", "You've already tried to kill me several times, haven't you ?"). Also, he seems to be aware that the cliff matters ? He literally begged Jinwoo to take him up the hill despite being on the brink of death. His resoning for this was pretty shabby too.
And not just those recent chapters either. Guwon suddenly being there preventing Jinwoo from cutting himself in the kitchen in the middle of the night in chapter 31 is pretty suspicious too. That couldn't just have been intuition.
You know, what really kills my willing suspension of disbelief is that in all these countless loops (judging by the amount of bodies at the bottom of the cliff), apparently, they never got the idea to TAKE OUT THE HOUNDS FIRST before Guwon ? Of course, there is the possibility that they actually did and even succeeded, but then something else went wrong, causing a new loop. There are so many ways this could go, like Jinwoo choosing Guwon at the end and the rest of the towns people turning on him, pushing both off the cliff together (that would still require dead Hounds though). Anyway, I feel like the Hounds somehow hold the key to breaking out of the loop, hence the title of the story.
I swear, if the author is just edging us AGAIN with no payoff I am gonna end myself. He better smooch that dude or I am throwing hands (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ !!!

The pacing of this story is something else. (Horrid) Things are happening in such rapid succession, the necessary build-up is totally missing and it cheapens the impact of these incidents despite their severity. The author just springs it on the reader and immediately proceeds to the next thing. It feels like this is done so for mere shock factor too rather than for the sake of the story.
This author has decided a long time ago that they're done with normality and I respect them for that...
Ilay's paranoia about Xinlu taking Taeui away from him has REALLY gotten under his skin, hm ? The way he's totally crashing out also confirms Taeui's statement a couple chapters ago about him being Ilay's weakness and it's kind of pathetic how insecure and anxious Ilay is. He absolutely doesn't know how to deal with those bad feelings except violence (WHICH IS WRONG, YOU FUCKING PSYCHO !).
Somehow what pisses me off the most is him not even giving Taeui the chance to explain himself, like, at all ! ARGH !!! I hate how this is written !
The situation is already bad as it is, but this just amplifies the frustration tenfold because of the unfairness of it all. Let's say Ilay had heard out Tae and still decided to go through with this shit, be it as "punishment" or because he flat out didn't believe him, whatever, it wouldn't be nearly as anger-inducing because you don't expect much rationality from Ilay anyway. But him not even letting the man speak is just... ungh.
Not his dad coming to the completely wrong, out of left field conclusion his son is dating A-yeon (Uyun's sister) - and me almost choking at the mere mental image of that in my head, LOL XD !

Read this when it first came out and hands down, still my most favorite psychological horror BL webtoon despite having read a dozen more since then. It's just THAT good !
The pacing is great, the characters aren't black and white and put common tropes on their heads, the mystery gets revealed slowly but steadyly stringing you along and the actual horror isn't over-explained and robbing it of its intended uncanniness. Add an ending where you aren't sure if it's happy or not, LOL.
The fact that I still think about The Black Mirror today speaks for itself, it's a thrilling story that left an impact.
There'd be so much great to say about Swapping, but the fact that the official version (R18) is SO MUCH worse and sloppily done than the fan translation is sending me !! It literally worsens the story quality, WTF.
I'm not only talking about grammar or wording, but overall bad editing, squeezed formatting, partly missing letters (or sometimes whole words !) in text and the fan translation is easier to understand AND read, too. Shame on whoever did such a subpar PAID job ! Swapping deserved better.
Funnily enough, the R15 version doesn't suffer from this. I ended up reading R15 and swapped to R18 only for the spicy parts, I suggest anyone reading this to do the same.
I'm convinced this is one of those sadistic slow burns where the author specifically wrote MC+ML so insufferably dumb and "communicationally-challenged" to frustrate the everliving shit out of the readers. And they enjoy every second of it (hence "sadistic"). And they know it's like a train wreck and you just have to keep coming back to it every time.
