Shes a foreigner in a strange new world
Was shoved into a very serious role
Has hundreds of people relying on her
Is in amidst new culture, new customs, new social roles and norms she doesn't know ANYTHING about.
Shes in a medieval/ Victoria/ Edwardian setting as a MODERN Korean girl
All of you fucking retards "omgg is she becoming a dumb FL"
WHAT DO YOU THINK ?? OFCOURSE SHE IS BECOMING "DUMB" SHES DOESN'T KNOW MUCH SHES TRYING TO ADJUST.
Shes probably under extreme stress trying to maintain the territory, trying to not have people die , dealing with banks, royals, monarchs which aren't easy.
Some of you stutter in front of a celebrity and are acting like you'd do better than her.
You all piss me off so much sometimes
And its a well documented fact that being under extreme stress makes someone dumber. I cant imagine the fear one would be with waking up in her situation. Its terrifying. Plus they all use magic to the point where killing you is as easy as killing a fly. Man thats terrifying. And to most with a functioning brain its a well known fact that the old world had very strict social rules. You'd be scrutinised when making a mistake in such high class setting. Its not easy.
They call Penelope a dumb FL but realistically speaking PLUS with all the manhwa I read with "dumb fl" that are practically mary sue or "I know everything and can easily adapt to this kind of novel story" which have TONS of second hand embarrassment moments, Penelope having difficulties transitioning to a new society is scarily realistic to me. Imagining myself in her shoes I'll be probably called the most intolerable, impatient, and insufferable FL.
A lot of readers here have gotten too spoiled by "OP MC" settings where the main character is just aura farming and magically solving problems through convenient plot devices. Any protagonist with actual personality and character flaw is apparently, automatically dumb or boring.
Huge thanks for this much-needed call out LOL those comments were irritating me as well.
I cant be the only one that is loving how the story is progressing.
The plot is going very smoothly, its not rushed but its not very slow either.
The characters are being presented with a background and character not just for the protagonist to shine.
Its so well written that I love seeing it unfold.
It feels so mature. I find myself analysing everyone and their role in the story not just for Letitas story but who they are as an individual.
I love love the characterisation of different backgrounds and ethnic groups. "Woman from Kant" implying they're different in culture. Like comparing English woman to Portuguese woman. Truly a very smart detail. I like reading this manhwa through each individual panel and getting as many details as possible.
The nobility rules and cultures,
The royal rules and cultures
The trading business and how its run and connected.
The role of woman in this society and not having modern details in it. Which always pisses me off. Its such an ick.
Adding modern details to such a period piece ruins the whole this. If you read this through a modern lens obviously you won't like it you dumbo.
Its very non fan-fictionified type of writing. It feels like the author has knowledge on European culture and the nobility mindset. And they wrote this with knowledge on how to write a piece of literature that's not fanfiction-wattpad. Not just jumbled up just for the sake of writing something. It feels like its the type of story that those who get it, get it and will enjoy it and those who don't get it will complain that its too slow and boring and how the main protagonist is weak and pathetic. When its the complete opposite.

Shes so lovely. The kind of lovely id be friends with and maintain the friendship like family.
I cant wait to see how this will go. I love stories where main protagonist wishes to advance their territory.
