For a man of medieval times, he's by far the most chivalrous leader of that time. He is so deeply loving and protective or his wife that he becomes a fool. It's part of who he is. He's not perfect. He's trying his best. Yes it's a webtoon, yes it's fantasy but it's important to understand that these characters are flawed in the best ways.
