I'm so glad my girl found her people. I was half hoping she'd fireball her father's ass like she did that goblin. There's lots of hate for Riftan but people forget the setting of this story. Women were accessories at this time. Sure, Riftan is by no means the modern feminist man wherein we gentle parent our kids and respect our partners opinions. What sets Riftan apart, though, is just how he chooses to make the best of his own idea of love in a setting that barely allows it. Let's not measure Riftan with a modern ruler. For a man of medieval times, he's by far the most chivalrous leader of that time. He is so deeply loving and protective or his wife that he becomes a fool. It's part of who he is. He's not perfect. He's trying his best. Yes it's a webtoon, yes it's fantasy but it's important to understand that these characters are flawed in the best ways.
Now, let's stick a firecracker up Duke Croyso's ass and hang his castrated body on the walls of Croyso castle.
Jaewon is the most real life MC I've ever read and I've read way too much of anything and everything. I wish we had more Jaewons across all genres, platforms, and worlds.
