I love how Turans hairstyle changes with every arc. In most stories the MCs look the same trough the whole plot, or at most they have a new outfit.
It looks like the younger sister is either a reincarnation of the "child of the demon" or at least heavenly influenced by it, because just like in the fairytale she covets what isn't hers without ever being satisfied. And just like in the fairytale she won't ever be able to use any kind of magic.
The mother seems to somehow grasp what's going on, but she is much too worn out to bother to interfere.
Finally, the father is only interested in the money and fame that would come his way for being the saint's father. Otherwise, he doesn't seem to care about his family at all.
And just like the younger daughter he seems to be incapable of listening to others, even if his life depended on that. He and his youngest daughter are probably the only ones who don't know, that you can't use magic with a stolen blessing.
The ball scene at chapters 7 & 8 was somehow badly carried out.
I mean the king himself proclaimed the marriage between his brother and the urgently needed saintess from another world, and that dukes daughter and her minion really think they can change the kings decree by shaming the saintess publicly afterward?
I always wonder in this kind of story, how the ignorant relatives (stepmother and halfsister) did not mess up earlier.
Even if MC did all the work behind the scenes, if they don't even know the motto of the party of the guests names how did they survive the parties without anybody noticing their incompetence?
The backstory of the children was already sad enough, was there really a need to destroy the mom's and grandparents' souls for the 3 to be able to reincarnate together?
After reading chapter 3
Spoiler:
It's quite obvious, that the royal family wanted to get off MC after defeating the demon king to make the prince the sole hero. So the mage probably petrified him, so that he could escape into the future.
At the beginning of chapter 2, it is refreshing, that he acts immediately to protect his newfound daughter, but part of me wanted him to hide and watch until he catches all the abusers red-handed, especially the delusional mother.
Does anyone know?
Why he whole family acts like their time together is very limited, and they will never see him again?
I hope the military has a real good reason to frame Luca's father as a traitor, and it is not the usual cover up of a superior's mistake.
Just my thoughts
I have a feeling the high priest or the king are behind the "mother's" sudden appearance, trying to use that fatal illness to force her to finally use her powers.
It has been decades since the Gates opened, and they needed chimera hunters to save humanity, human civilization is more or less back to normal.
But in all those years nobody outside the ILLEGAL labs ever found out, or bothered to care, that all those many chimera hunters are not made out of executed death row inmates but abducted living children???
I get that MC family are not really winning prizes for being good characters, but what the heck could the mother and sister have been doing, to get cursed not only once but frequently?
Eddy's mom made some bad choices, which led to even worse choices, but did she really think it would solve all her problems if she killed her daughter? Has it never occurred to her, that the royal doctors would take a look at the corpse, if the first prince died so suddenly?
The High Priest killed of Lua's whole family because he wanted her at any cost and her family was against it.
But what for? After she entered the temple as saint candidate, she was simply abused without any sign oft her being part of his schemes any longer.
The End, here and now, really? After only 16 Chapters? The story started getting really interesting. :-(
How come the redhead is more powerful than the first prince, without being a royal, the king's concubine or the crown princes wife?
And the first prince? Wasn't he undercover to gain power? Seems like it didn't work, he is still one of the most powerless princes I have ever read of.
