I used to read BL manga before BL manhwa becomes popular. I remember loving the art of this artist. It's so pretty and still do. I read quite a fair bit of manga from this artist. Loved the stories and the art.

Btw, I find the sentence was too light for those who got caught. And many seems to have got away. 8 yrs is a awfully long time to be exploited against one's will. Many would have given up and end their own life. Cannot say this is a satisfying ending. But at least, Geom got back his freedom.

Idk if you ever heard of it but there was a case that happened back in 2019 called the burning sun case it was basically a club in Korea that was huge bcs it was co owned by seungri whos a former member of the grp big bang. Basically the club would only allow beautiful woman inside and the men there were all these relatively rich ppl who would pay the workers to basically drug a girl's drink so they can take them to a hotel or smth and rape them and there was like I think about 7 celebrities caught who went to the club and were also in a gc where they filmed themselves with the girls and most of them got like I think 5 years max and I'm pretty sure the guy seungri actually got way less like if i remember correctly 19 months. Indeed. In real life cases most times these criminal managed to get away with light sentences. Alot of bribery going on which allow these people to buy their way out or gotten a much lighter sentence. yea. Heard of the burning sun case. There is korea drama called Taxi Driver S2 portray similar incident in few of the episodes. If you are interested can check them out if you haven't.

If I remember correctly yea it was geoms mother that had put him in that terrible situation. bcs back in the previous chs (I can't remember which one) she wanted to start her own restaurant so she had gotten a loan from that and I'm pretty sure she also needed a document so she could open it without any trouble so they probably gave her an illegal one but then yk the restaurant failed and she started sleeping around with the customers in order to make money but then that wasn't enough and yea and also I doubt it couldve been anyone else bcs the dad wasn't in the picture and none of the like relatives were in the picture either
Hmm.. There is a chapter (cannot rem which one) that Geom was trying to figure out how the illegal loan came about. During his thought process did say something about his dad death or something which got enough payout to cover everything and so they shouldn't be in debt. Therefore, he was flabbergasted how they got into this. In the raws, towards the end the white hair dude showed Geom the loan doc with the signature. I think it's his mom. Just wasn't 100% sure about it. Also why would the mom go take up a loan. So you could be right.
This is distressing and hard to read the rape scene over and over that Geom is suffering from. It is so scary that someone can just be taken like that and forced into prostitution. A really scary and helpless situation. In real life this is happening to someone out there given human trafficking is happening around the world.
Everytime I read something about Mo ran overlooked or blandly ignore things that shizun did for him while busy flirting and courting his shi mei just pissed me off. I hate how easily shizun always forgives him. My heart ache for shizun...
My heart goes out to Cirrus in chapter 101. Both may have their own trauma and wrong doings, still Skylar shouldn't have said something so hurtful when he is the one who wanted to date in the first place. Like I have mentioned before, I would have end the relationship right there. But Cirrus was held hostage by his abandonment issues hence, was desperate. Moreover, Cirrus felt he only have skylar hence, the desperation. As for skylar, cirrus does not held such importance in his heart. They are both no good for each other. As per mentioned before, Cirrus is really better off not involve with anyone. As he always get hurt by people he love and that can really kill.

yes i noticed this too! it makes the story even more tragic. i think hes probably eaten other mermaids by now, considering that hes older too and not even phased by it all anymore
True. It doesn't seems like his first time tasting it. Didn't want to sound morbid but not like they display the head of the merman so there is no way to tell. Unless there is something unique about his first love body for him to tell apart from others. Such a tragic short story.
