I like this chapter a lot. It’s small, but I see some development. When he initially planned all that kinky shi but the moment Jinwoo opened up about why he was late and apologized for it, all that stuff went away. It’s their first real communication. I see Jinwoo show more of his vulnerable side and Taeyoung listening to him without judging. I specifically love the part where Jinwoo apologizes for being a burden and Taeyoung simply reassures that he’s fine with it.
The last part scares me tho. Taeyoung really is his escape.
We should let it sink that he said he needed an escape. He didn’t want to go to his mother’s birthday. That speaks volume. He knows that it will not feel like a celebration but a death sentence for him bc they do not support his dreams. It’s makes sense now, why he does things that are something he normally won’t do, like calling in sick just to spend the night with Taeyoung. Why he doesn’t resist much with Taeyoung. That’s because being in his presence is freeing. It’s not rebelling. He’s so suffocated and Taeyoung offers him an escape, room to breathe.
I’m truly happy that the moment Jinwoo opened up, he didn’t even have any of those kinky thoughts. That was erased. I love that. Nothing sexual.
