He’s honestly behind his peers for the most part and acts like it too. The whole SA thing didn’t need to happen, Eiji is an ADULT with a VEHICLE. HE LITERALLY COULD HAVE STAYED AT A MOTEL OR SMTHN. What Rui did was not okay but he’s the one with the least agency. Y’know, being a child and all.
