You get so excited for the love story and then it doesn't progress and it just falls off. It's kind of disappointing. The store is fine I guess I just wish that the love story part would progress.
Actually I hope she ends up with the slave guy and not the second master. Although the second master is nice he doesn't really do much to protect her. He knows his brother put his hands on her and all he did was hit him once.. that's ridiculous. He's like a s***** friend that just does the bare minimum.
This is one of those love stories you're going to want to save and just read occasionally at least once every 6 months to a year. Got action. A handsome guy in tattoos that's dangerous. A pretty good story line with mystery. Even if you know how it's going to end up you still want to read it again.

I don't understand why she can't just get pregnant. Especially if she already knows what's going to happen. It's like she's making things harder on herself for no reason.
She wants to enjoy the marriage life. If she's pregnant she will have to deal with ppl trying to kill while trying to protect their baby that's so stressful on a pregnant woman!
She wants to schema without having the added worry. Some ppl who want kids want to enjoy an independent life first before the nonstop work that comes for 18 years after having a kid lol

I think it's because the trauma of her mother's death has been ingrained since she was a child. Traumas acquired in childhood are stronger, especially if she did not have any type of emotional support afterwards (since she was imprisoned and treated as a criminal). But I understand u point and I think the author could have made some fear of humans more explicit (However, let's remember that there are few chapters now and this can still be explored) (づ￣ ³￣)づ
