Okay, I see a lot of people criticizing Mizuha for being a terrible person - but isn't that the point of her character? Unlike Hayase, who was proud and would go to any lengths to have Fushi, fully understanding how terrible they may be; or even Kahaku, who wanted to believe he was doing the right thing but ultimately sacrificed himself, Mizuha is much more naive. She never saw the nokkers in action, she didn't know the true history of her family, she was instead fed lies that Hayase was a protector of Fushi, and that she helped him immensely in the past. She sees no reason as to why Fushi shouldn't care for her deeply. You also have to remember her upbringing.
Mizuha was great at picking up almost anything, to the point of realizing that people valued her accomplishments over her as a person. When she finds out about Fushi and meets him, she suddenly finds what she believes to be the one person who should care about her for who she is, as well as the one thing she couldn't just obtain all on her own. She wants him to express concern and love for her, to show her how important she, by extension of her family, is to him. It's almost pitiful that she doesn't know the truth of Hayase's past with Fushi. She's just making a fool of herself, and Fushi is deciding to play along because he wants to like her and be friends with her, similarly to Kahaku. But this arc, for these two, can only end in a shattered relationship.

Honestly, I'm kinda happy that there didn't end up being any relationships that fulfilled the whole trope of a guy turning into a girl and ending up with his former best friend and/or rival. One of my pet peeves is when genderbend stories change sexual orientation too - like, that's not how it works?? I am somewhat disappointed with the resolution though, because the story was played so insanely safe when it had such a great set-up.

Oh heck, I finished this back when the final chapters came out, but for some reason I didn't realize Yushiro was still alive?? Like, this poor boy nearly died from illness hundreds of years ago, and he's still alive today just painting Tamayo, continuing her legacy even if no one remembers who she is anymore but him. Though I do have to wonder how no one's put together how everyone in the Kamado residence picture (of everyone from after the final battle) looks like people in the modern world. It also makes me sort of sad to see that these families drifted apart and now aren't even really acquainted anymore.
Also dang, Nezuko's modern look-alike, Toko, is a jerk? Like, she's really shallow and does the whole tsundere-esque physical abuse, though it's to her brother. Also a bit ironic that she'd be dating one of Tanjirou and Kanao's descendants, since that would make her a Kamado again if they got married.
Anyway, sorry, just a bunch of random thoughts I had in revisiting this. I think it'd be neat to see a story where these reincarnations have to combat modern day demons, likely an unintended consequence of Yushiro attempting to do as Tamayo had done for him - trying to save the lives of the dying. It'd be really great, since a lot of what we see of these modern iterations suggests either don't know they're tied together from the past, or (like in Toko's case) don't care to believe. I guess I just really want to see the new Kamado siblings fight demons with their descendant/reincarnation pals.

Not gonna lie, I'm not a huge fan of Nanao. He's a great guy and I love how he's set up as your average underdog, secretly great leader type, but I'm really glad that he wasn't the real main character. If he had been, that would've made this story not only much shorter, since he gets betrayed so early and only returns now, after they've returned to the mainland, but it also would've made me lose pretty much all interest in this. He'd just be another stagnant "good guy" main character whose only growth would come from learning how to harness his ability and leading his class. I didn't come for that - I came for the wild twists, the logic games and the twisting line between good and evil.
Now, Nana is no saint. She's killed people; a lot of people, based on information that was faulty. However, I think it's telling that she always prayed after a kill. She even says when "killing" Nanao that it's nothing personal, this is just her job (at least, she definitely thinks it in the anime). Her arc feels believable, albeit a bit wacky in most cases, and it was interesting to see not only who would get character spotlight, but also how she'd figure out their powers and use that to her advantage. I think anyone coming here expecting another, say, My Hero Academia, will be rightfully disappointed. Because it really isn't that - it's not about rising to the top from nothing or overcoming impossible odds. It's a story about propaganda, about how you can never know who or what to trust, about how hurting those you don't understand only comes back to bite you. So yes, I like Nanao as a character, but no, I don't think he would've made a good main character. They made the right call with Nana. She didn't need to cultivate her talents, she needed to cultivate her empathy.
But those are my thoughts, anyway.

You know what the worst part of this is? All the people who worked on the demon antidote, aside from Yushiro though I have no idea how involved he was, are dead ;-;
The only ways I can see this going are pretty neutral to sad, very few happy options... Crossing my fingers that Nezuko somehow cures him - I mean, the cure should still be in her body. She could become like a reverse Muzan and just cure all the demons with her blood instead. At least, that's what I'm really hoping for...

Man, everyone's freaking out :0
I'm more concerned that they're going to kill of Tanjirou rather than Nezuko - he'd definitely die protecting her, let's all be honest ┗( T﹏T )┛
But oh boy, the writing in this is so good!! Like, at first a bunch of people die to reinforce the idea that anyone can die. Then, everything's fine for a while. And then Kyoujirou dies ;-; And suddenly anyone can die. Then they only really play that card in this arc, where they finally kill a bunch of people. Very sad, but great writing to keep us on the edge of our seats (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
