Love th first story
I find it funny that the second couple is like a generic "creepy" guy x slenderman's descendant so close to fully mimicking humans genetically.
I don't hate the new art but it does have the usual issue of changing the vibes of the story? Like it is a decent "your character in my style" in terms of the main characters at least (side characters are.... Who tf are y'all). Like it's similar enough that I can keep reading, but different enough that it's sad :(
Seme less so cause he's kind of the same character but in different fonts? (Barring the less orange hair.) Like old design's characterization displayed the immaturity in all his actions and facial expressions. However the new design, I feels less "I'm loud, cold, and angry cause I don't know any better and I'm selfish" and more "I'm loud cold and angry cause I don't want to be better and im selfish, period"? Does that make sense?
Like he looses the charm of being insufferable but a lil forgiving cause ya know he needs too... Grow up? (lol) And learn. (Could even argue infantilizing maybe?). New design, he's still an asshole, but just an asshole, and it's a lil generic (lmao)
UKE on the other hand got it worse cause he's TWINKIFIED. Like old uke was slim, but still had like a built slim. He at least looked like an average build in clothes. New design took like a good third of his body mass cry.
Worse is he looses a bit of masculinity in his features. Cause it's not enough that he can't lift a bowl anymore, he's got to have FEM FEATURES like long eyelashes, soft face and lips on his small ahh head like FAH. And now every time we get like a special "love vision" scene it's no longer "oh he looks pretty cause the Seme loves him," it now feels more like "he looks pretty cause he's a bit fem" and I hate that :| To be a twink is to make at least 2 people question your gender ig

Outside of the friend couple, every focused couple has been the woman liking the man first, and never the other way around. A bunch of yearning woman, getting what they want sure, but I'm starting to think author only knows one troupe.

I think we all expected a somewhat quick forgiveness so it's actually refreshing that they're actually gonna get distance between them. Give ml chance to actually get mentally well

I love how after the flashback we're all like "brother... We don't care" cause none of this excuses the lying. All it tells us is you need help, take your meds dawg.
They weirdly overlapped those few chapters but I think I got it
Basically:
In the first timeline, there was an post expedition to the ruins a while after the ruins opening, Ethan's death, and her sister's death. This is where MC and ML first meet cause she joins while trying to hide her identity
ML finds out and during their travels to the ruins they fall in love. After entering the ruins, that's where the find Ethan's body and the entity creature. I guess with Ethan becoming part of the ruins, he's able to help envoke God's wish (?) for her to defy fate. Thus she was allowed to make the initial wish of going back in time.
I'm gonna be real I think Tabin really contributed to the story degrading. He literally adds nothing to her family plot or makes any significant progress in his relationship with Sami. Every scene he's pushing his luck, pushing her boundaries, and is literally the same before and after her change.
Everyone else from her past at least respects her decision or gives her space, but he just barrels through like he deserves to win at the end. He SUCKS as a character and a love interest but the author keeps pushing him as someone we should care about or an actual "threat" to her and pyujin's relationship.
This was coupled with the fact that MC, despite being straight forward and steadfast in what she wants, was never straight with him and was just hoping he'd take a hint and just be her friend. So they both knew he's pushing her boundaries, but they're both ignoring it. And then he CONTINUES to push her boundaries after the rejection, so he's still sucks. We know every time we see this bitch on screen it's gonna be the same stalkerish, pushy, internal whinining "but I always loved you" ass scene and it's ANNOYING and adds NOTHING.
He's getting more screen time than the ACTUAL second love interest that ACTUALLY cares about her Chan. We literally have to sit through his shitty ass scenes while Chan continues to get ZERO RESOLVE. He's actually replacing Chan as a main character and THAT SUCKS FUCK THIS GUY.
