I think he wanted to marry out of obligation/ to fit with the social norm rather than true love. This means if they are married taking care of the kids will be her obligation rather than her choice to take care of them which is not what this manga is about. Though, I really prefer that the mangaka show some romance between the two. They like parents who wanted a divorce but stay for the kids lol or like a co-parent rather than romantic partner. There is no balance in their relationship. I just hope that this is intentional and not the mangaka not knowing how to write romance between two grown adults. It's very tricky to write romance between two middle age adult because they have more rationalities and responsibilities than teenagers/young adults. So love of passion wont cut it.

i kinda feel bad for the dad cause his magic is seeing identification and thats how he found out. but his attitude was not right. his wife really didnt cheat nor did she know.
In his POV, the fact is his wife cheated and continued lying to him. Because of his magic, he knows he's been betrayed by the one he loves. Still a shitty person though but I understand that will broke most people. That's what I like about this manga, the characters felt like human.
