I also think the story is spectacular! There is a break in expectations, a fine line in who is "bad guy" or "good guy" in the story, as both characters are light and shadow at the same time! Quite unusual and creative.
I agree, the plot is basically that the Brett tricked Hayden, for his own twisted desire the whole plot is showing the “relationship” these two will be having starting forward because we do not know what Brett even want, he even said in chapter 8 this whole agreement between them is that because Hayden is a dominant alpha he can never control his rut therefore he always have to hide it and Brett who use a masochistic football player. Is using this chance. Plus as a rich kid I’m sure he has twisted desire that is out of norm and can never show it to his father or his friends. Plus they have this membership where all alpha get together. Brett coudl never stand those fakers. So that’s why he found Hayden. It’s interesting to the point most people are pulled in to want to see how this sh*t show progress. Whether or not their relationship will continue as Hayden giving Brett pain while in rut or get worse out of Brett’s comfort zone .
