how can one go from the sweetest story to this? bringing it back for season 5 wasnt terrible. the new plot outta nowhere wasnt terrible. but fucking rape????? no fucking way. hello, we can have angst without rape. also would taesung actually fucking do that? he looks for him everywhere and when he finally sees haebom and hears that hes seeing a woman or whatever, so he goes and practically coerces him into sex? which is rape btw. im gen so fucking shocked im shaking. i gen loved this story so much and praised it for the bare minimum which was not to have any rape. well, there goes that. the author could have taken this whole plot and created anotjer series and i would have honestly eaten it up. “two lovers together so beautiful wow, oh no one went missing and theres a clear perpetrator ohh nooooo” i would have read that, but why haebom and taesung? was the author just lazy to write new characters???? gen i wanna know what this is. i havent read this story in a long time, but from what i remember haebom is a strong character and honestly wouldnt take shit from people. so lets say he was threatened and all that shit, i believe he would still fight for taesung and would at least tell him or some shit idk i just have so much on my mind and im gen just so upset i cant do this
we can get so caught up in our own pain that we don’t realize how much we’re hurting the people we love. psyka is so focused on how painful it is to watch yiho hurt that he honestly gets so much more focused on that rather than the pain yiho’s actually experiencing. eventually, after having done this for years upon years, he’s convinced himself that he has no other choice BUT to hurt yiho, all so that his and gyor’s relationship will finally be “approved” by blank ig??
i feel like mino just proves that there has always been another choice. psyka could love gyor even if he was a beta and just make blank suck it up, but being protected and raised by blank, especially after experiencing a war and struggling to survive, they must feel like the owe it to blank yk? and since most of what they want is to just be together, add the fact that they want blank’s approval or something, they probably feel like they have no choice.
as cats who aren’t betas (i forgot what they’re called), and especially with what they’re researching, they put so much importance on their second gender, using it as a tool, even as a weapon, that simply living life as a beta seems to be, like, bad???? (i’m trying so hard to phrase this well but this is all just so complex and my mind is all over the place with ideas.) which is why psyka keeps saying shit like “he needs the lab or else he’ll be a beta for the rest of his life,” emphasizing it so much as if it’s so terrible to be a beta. yeah, yiho wouldn’t be able to protect mino as well as he could in the past, but so what? why is that more important that yiho’s safety and stability? mino loves yiho, not for what yiho can offer him, but just for him, alone. and because of how much blank places importance on their secondary gender and how psyka—and yiho as well—was raised on that belief, it shocks them both to hear how mino would still love yiho even if he lived the rest of his life as a beta.
this is all just simply touching on WHY psyka must believe he has no choice despite there always being another choice, i haven’t even gotten to start talking about the complexity of psyka, gyor, and yiho’s relationship, especially the relationship between psyka and yiho and psyka’s feelings about what he’s doing to yiho and so much more. i’d have loved to make this more organized, but i’m honestly overwhelmed with ideas that the only way to actually write this all out properly is to sit down at my desk instead of sitting on this toilet :p

Maybe this is a hot take but I honestly see the secretary guy to be selfish. He harbored feelings for ceo guy for 10 years, giving up on his love from the very beginning because he knows that ceo had already fallen in love way before that, and now he just up and left. I understand wanting to cut ties to “free” yourself from the pain of an unrequited love, but bro. Do not forget that he viewed you as his closest friend. While you’ve been suffering with these feelings, ceo guy has been forming such strong attachments to you in the form of friendship. Not only that, but he trusts you so much that he relies on you for work and for his personal life, like his feelings or whatever. He doesn’t make you do everything simply because he thinks you’ll simply do it or that he, himself, cannot do it, but because he trusts you to do it. And if you didn’t want to confess your feelings out of fear of risking the friendship, then why did you just throw the entire relationship away? It begs the question of whether you actually treasured the friendship or not. Did you really treasure him or did you just chalk him up to someone you “loved” and could just leave to save yourself. Not only this stuff, but you also already decided shit for him. Yeah he was in love with someone else, but you didn’t even give him an inkling to your feelings. People here may say that ceo guy didn’t care, but I hugely disagree. Like what he said in the most recent chapter, he never asked because he just expected secretary guy to say something at some point. Why? Because he TRUSTS HIM. It’s like when you know your friend is queer despite them not coming out yet, but you keep that knowledge to yourself and TRUST that they will come out to you when they are ready. He simply did what he always did and trusted the secretary guy to come to him whenever he’d be comfortable. And also, if I were to find out that my friend of over 10 years was in love with me the entire time, I would NEED to have a CONVERSATION. Like genuinely what the hell. You weren’t the only person in this friendship. You owe it to him to at least talk if you were planning to leave, just like any relationship, whether familial, platonic, or romantic. The point is that it’s a relationship between TWO PEOPLE, not just one person to make every single decision.

im frustrated and upset. no, not cuz the mc doesnt wanna be out, but bcuz he lied abt the ml and now put him in a bad situation. lets say the mc decided not to say anything after the first question and the ml says “yes,” that would put mc in a bad situation where he has to “reject” the ml cuz he doesnt wanna come out. if that were the situation, then id be fucking angry at the ml, but that isnt what happened. hell, even the first lie didnt make me mad. him saying that the ml didnt have a crush on him was perfectly fine, a little white lie so he wouldnt have to come out or be put in a bad light. it’s the following lies that makes me hella mad. “he’s seeing a girl” ??????? this lie was completely unnecessary. yk he could have said “no he doesnt have a crush on me” and the ml could have continued on with talking abt some faceless guy he has a crush on, but he didnt. he didnt let his partner handle the situation and now he has to keep this lie going, the lie that hes seeing this girl. THE PROBLEM ISNT ABOUT NOT WANTING TO COME OUT. THE PROBLEM IS ABOUT HOW THE MC LIED ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE AND NOW THAT SOMEONE HAS TO KEEP LYING TO HIS OWN FRIENDS, PEOPLE HE SHOULD TRUST AND NOT LIE TO CUZ IT WOULD HURT THEM. also, i am not straight nor privileged. i am a pansexual transman who was in a same-sex relationship for two fucking years. i know what its like to have to hide your identity from everyone u know, and it sucks, but when u make a lie for someone despite yall not talking abt it beforehand, then itll only hurt that person. the mc should be thankful he has such a loving and devoted partner who can easily blow past what happened. and i havent even started talking abt bros lack of communication :// dont get me wrong, i love this story, but that doesnt mean i cant be frustrated when the characters make dumb decisions. honestly, theres just a huge lack of trust from the mc to the ml, obviously due to terrible anxiety which is just sad and i hope it gets better as time passes

I think deep down, Skylar feels guilty for what he said and how things between them went down. After finding out Cirrus was dropping out, he later started thinking about ways Cirrus was definitely showing him love, bringing him back to what he told Cirrus. Then he starts trying to console himself by saying it was Cirrus’ fault for lying, trying to completely absolve him of any blame. But I think it’s clear that Skylar wants Cirrus to come back, not necessarily they get back into a relationship immediately, but just to be there around each other. My mind is kind of jumbled up, but I hope y’all get it ;-; I mean, if he didn’t want Cirrus to come back deep down inside of him, why would he suddenly talk about how he doesn’t have the “right” to tell him to come back. Not to mention, he’s definitely trying to avoid the whole thing by pretending it just doesn’t exist, pushing his memories of Cirrus down. It’s clear to see that he sees Cirrus everywhere, but just tries to continue walking ahead. In the background before he got on the bus, we clearly see Cirrus there as well. Idk if he was rlly there, but even so, I think it’s meant to show how much Skylar is deep in his thoughts about Cirrus to the point of not even noticing him there, and him getting on the bus, not even looking out the window to see him represents Cirrus “haunting” him, in a way. And when he says “I don’t know anything” at the very end, I think he’s referring to what he said to Cirrus, that he knows nothing about love. I also feel like a part of him feels “responsible” for Cirrus dropping out.
Man, these two make me feel things so hard I wanna kill myself. I want to note that when I talk about “blame,” I’m not trying to say that either of them are 100% in the wrong and are fully to blame for things. Both of them have their reasons for acting the way they did and saying the shit they said, but remember that reasoning doesn’t equal justification. Honestly, what’s best for these two is to just take a break. If the author gives us a time skip, yay honestly, cuz that seems to be the healthiest option. Sometimes, people just meet the right one at the wrong time.
Okay, can we talk about how mature and thoughtful MC is being? He understands how quickly getting together with ML right after finding out the manager was getting married may make it seem like he’s not with the ML cuz he likes him, but cuz he’s lonely or using him as a distraction or replacement. He wants to show ML that he truly does like him for him and not another person. Letting go of a first love is super hard, even when you never even got together or had an opportunity, so the direction he’s going is honestly really great. Not to mention, he might be feeling limerence (not likely) which could’ve made it harder for him to let go of the manager, but from the most recent chapter, he clearly understands that it’s time to move on and be happy with someone who makes him happy and comfortable. I truly believe the way he’s thinking is very mature and great
Guys I know that he’s taller, buffer, and generally stronger than his father, but you probably don’t know what it’s like to stand up to your abuser because it’s actually super hard. It’s easy to tell others to break up with their partners in those stories, it’s easy to tell Woo Won to just report his dad, but it’s actually so much harder to do that. Woo Won was raised by being abused by his father, so he’s still in that mindset right now, even as an adult. It’s called trauma for a reason. It sticks with you even when you forget about it or think you’ve “outgrown” it. And now, his “father” is even using his mother as blackmail. The thing is, even if he were to report his father for domestic abuse, it would likely be taken as a grain of salt by the police since Woo Won doesn’t have a lot of evidence right now. No voice recordings, no terrible bruises, no anything. It’s just going to be his word against his father. The sad thing is that there are many cases just like his in real life, yet you can’t just tell those people to report the issue since it’s almost always overlooked. My point is, Woo Won just can’t report his father and everything will be okay. The world doesn’t play out like that. Just try to understand and empathize with Woo Won and what he’s going through instead of calling him stupid or crazy for not beating up his dad. Not to mention if he beats his dad up, his dad can report him for assault since he’s going to have actual evidence on his body.
