Please give this manhwa a chance, the cover and rating are super misleading. It’s actually a really sweet story with a good message. The MC seems to have some kind of body dysmorphia (especially about his face), and i think it’s handled pretty well. I also love that his insecurities don’t magically disappear once he starts dating the ML.
There’s no scene either, although there are a few moments that get close, especially in the second chapter but it’s clear later on that the MC actually wants it and enjoys it, which is nice to see. Overall, it’s such a weird manhwa that you end up laughing and having a great time with it. Plus, the art is absolutely gorgeous. Totally recommend it.
I honestly can’t wait to finish this manga, it’s so beautiful. It’s become one of my favorites. The dynamic between the two main characters just feels perfect. It really captures that shift from best friends to lovers in a way I haven’t seen before (you can really tell they are childhood friends).
I didn’t expect it to handle gender change in such a serious and respectful way. Usually it’s treated like a joke, without really showing how much it can affect you to suddenly have a body different from the one you were born with. I also didn’t expect Tachibana to actually prefer her new body and fully accept herself as a woman, and I think they handled that amazingly.
No matter what some people say, it’s great to see a trans character who’s treated with respect and who actually shows real growth after accepting herself as a girl. I love how much they care about each other, their devotion, and how far they’d go for one another.
I started watching the anime thinking it would go in a kind of “hidden yaoi” direction, and even though it didn’t, I’m really happy with how things turned out. You can really feel how unique the story is, probably because it’s written by both a man and a woman (who are married), and that mix of perspectives really shows.
There were a lot of moments where I found myself wondering if the author was a man or a woman, since some aspects of the story hinted at one, while others clearly had a feminine touch. When I found out it was both, it all made sense.
I hope I can read the final chapters soon and see how it ends, even though now that I’m this far in, it kind of makes me sad to have to say goodbye.
