I think the author was trying to establish either the equivalent exchange or inevitable fate. If its the first then someone else must die for someone who was supposed to die in the first TL to live in this TL. Instead of Alphonso and Ari this time maybe Cesaer and Isabella would die but there is noone in exchange for Arabella. If its the later then some characters' deaths are inevitable like Arabella and the Queen.
