A person who constantly looks down on others would not know how to deal with a relationship cuz a relationship requires both to be on an equal footing, it's a flaw intentionally written to highlight the theme of the manhwa (financial power dynamics in relationships and how people in poverty cope with their circumstances and how the rich exploit the poor. Just over economic inequality is the theme) and for the theme his character is written fairly well (though really cringe, honestly I'm not even gonna defend the story on that.
