All the end couples are sweet and adorable but the cherry on top in my heart will always be Leticia and Ditrian.
The way they were meant for each other, deserved each other, protected each other, comforted each other and loved each other.
Oh my heart was melting so much, because generally speaking, this typa story often only mainly portrays how the fl was mistreated and how she’s deserving more, for the ml to come and give her the love and respect she deserves.
But here, it’s both of them, both of them suffered so much, both of them deserved better, deserved each other and no one else. It just felt so equal, that’s what got me. It was a good read.

Fucking shit. I was curious about the man-to-woman transformation trope but this one is fucking disgusting it’s just there to justify why the girl will be easy to rape and easy to manipulate into having sex with fts

A question aimed at yaoi readers (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Do you think there’s a double standard for the top/seme? Like there are things that are allowed or easily forgiven when the bottom/uke do it but then as soon as it’s done by the top, suddenly it’s absolutely unforgivable and the bottom is told to search for another top or smth like that

It has been bothering me that people are more eager to forgive one but not another. Then again maybe it’s cuz my brain’s in a bad shape lately or because protagonists are mainly bottoms^^’

wtf iknow right, i hate those type of people. Junta literally raped Takato (the title is: dakaretai otoko ni) then i saw the comment "i love rape" like wtf?

    Tch December 10, 2020 12:03 pm

Yeah, and i think it goes both ways. Like the seme being just overall a jerk is so common it becomes acceptable, but when the uke is a jerk i see all the comments hating him.
On the other hand when it comes to sexual assault/harassment, the uke is forgiven more easily than the seme. Overall theres this impression that the uke is weaker than the seme so if he rapes the seme he doesnt actually hurt him, the seme in fect let him do it

I think it's kind of a mirror of our society. It's kinda easy to understand that ukes represent women and semes represent men. The double standards that you can find in yaoi in general is basically the same as in our society with the gender norms. Such as slutshaming or accepting rapes when it concerns ukes/women.

    Jiophone2 December 10, 2020 12:47 pm

Ya like when the uke hits or abuses the seme then its okay but when the seme does it then its unacceptable. That's bullshit. It goes both ways. Like just imagine guys. The uke slaps the seme multiple times and most people think its ok but when its the other way round ,it comes under abuse.

Defeated by Gravity December 10, 2020 4:34 pm

I usually find the opposite. Since my biggest trigger is a controlling, manipulative character. The kind of character who cuts off their lovers options to force them to behave a certain way or into a relationship.

More likely to be praised as 'hot' if it's the seme and hated if it's the uke (or fl).

It doesn't bother me that people have that reaction. Because they're not reading the same emotions I am. They're reading something different.

It's pretty normal to have a uke double-standard though. The uke is usually the protagonist so you're meant to be more sympathetic to them. I guarantee you're more accepting of bad behaviour in people you have a connection to than strangers irl too. The uke, as both the protagonist and receptive partner, is often in a position of vulnerability. Which makes their behaviour more permissive to balance with the seme.
