This was a case of biased point of view, as in, the ML was already as obsessed now as he is before, the MC just doesn't know. MC is VERY oblivious and her POV is full of holes born from her low self-worth and her non-confrontational attitude due to her upbringing.

ML was basically kidnapped from his world by the korean "Saintess" and landed in Korea, where the government kept using him. MC, who is a soldier and is under that very same government's orders, happened to have 99.9% matching rate with him. She had a crush on him too and just kept doing what ML asked her to do like a dog, which made him more wary because he was convinced that she was doing it because the govt told her to do so. He fell in love and realized that the MC did it because she loved him, she became his shackles because everyone and their mothers could see that ML loved the MC except MC herself, she gets manipulated by the govt and the saintess over and over again despite trying so hard to protect her and in the end, she died for him, which was the very thing he was so scared of. He couldn't even share or open up to MC, because MC, like the loyal dog she is, will report it to her superiors. He did a whole slew of things for MC that MC just sweeped as "Oh it was a dream" BRUH atp I wanted them to break up not for MC but for ML's sanity. They're a very annoying couple who couldn't communicate if it depended on their life.

There might be some info wrong because I've read this a long time ago and even dropped it multiple times due to my blood pressure spiking up. I even thought I forgot about it until i read this manhwa and remembered the war flashbacks.

I've read it years before the anime and reread it over and over again and rewatched the anime to many times to count too and I just love Mukoda so much he's so gentle with the kiddos he's like a perfect househusband I wish he was real bc I would probably slave myself to work to be able to provide and come home to him AHHDJWKALA hahaha this is so unhinged lmao

Meh May 20, 2024 7:24 pm

I've read a lot of humans turning into animals, etc. in both novels and manga/manhwa that I only found it slightly weird due to its nature as a one-shot (which meant it would be extremely fast-paced). If it had more chapters and expounded more on their progress slowly from pet to friends/confidant to lovers, it would probably have been more well-received.

I could see the sparks of hatred (rivalry) brewing between them while Camila here still thinking that they'd get together.

I like how the author tried to show and nail down the ugly sides of an ABO world. Usually with ABO, there's just good sex, impregnation maybe, but here, the author showed that ABO people are beasts and have the law of the jungle applied to their very core. Most people can't do what they want due to it, like Omegas are scared of being devoured and being thrown away by their mate because they'll be dependent for life once bitten, Betas can only marry the same species to be able to procreate, and Alphas are in the mercy of their insticts, despite their thoughts.

Ofc, there's really hard to swallow views that are in the norm here, but like it's also understandable why they have those values since the world they live in is fundamentally different from the world WE live in. Really neat and pretty good writing by the mangaka.

Interesting take. But correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Omega in this world is quite special, in a sense that they can give birth to another species baby, regardless of their partner secondary gender? That's also explain why Sachio almost get R-word in chap 1 and also confronted by the beta Civet again chapter 5 of volume 1.

Yup, that's what makes them different from betas who can only give birth if they're the same species. Still, omegas can have "heats" which can completely render them helpless and once an alpha bites them, they'll be dependent on that Alpha for life, while that Alpha can bite several more omegas. They are essentially submissive as a whole, which is shitty if you think about it.

Then again, you'd think Alphas bagged the lottery but in ML, ML's brother, and MC's friend's cases, you could see that they dislike and are even traumatized by their nature because they've hurt someone they really didn't want to hurt due to their beastial instincts. ML in particular is full set on denying his nature now because he's scared of hurting MC again.

Nobody really is winning in the end. In a way, this manga is about them living with the hand they've been dealt by fate.

True. Anyways thanks for the great insight. Just one thing that truly bothered me is if this is a world inhabited by beastmen, can a carnivorous species like Ukano openly ate a big Mac in front of a herbivorous species like cow? Would they get cancelled for doing so? In the end we never truly know. You see I'm so much like Sachio, the type that overthinking all type of useless shit every 5 minutes so I just can't help my curiosity lmfao ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ

That's actually a question I usually have when I read manga/manhwa or even novels with prominent animal characteristics so it's very valid ( ̄∇ ̄") a novel I read that I forgot the name of (unfortunately) had its own take on it-- they use synthetic meat with the proper nutrients loaded in it. Idk here, but maybe they have proper animals that didn't evolve and are still used as livestock? Still, that would be unnerving to those that are the same species but evolved.

I remember myself and my classmates in HS and we were all a bunch of dumbasses except for a few who matured early lols. In college, those same dumbass classmates and myself started to become serious and emotionally mature in our own ways so I keep thinking that in the future, these boys will be more stable in their relationship and more emotionally mature to handle it since they already experienced a dumb misunderstandings. Although in the end it's fiction and there's no such thing as future HAHAHHAHA

Lol I remember that I was an anime fan before I could taste any Japanese cuisine and I was very disappointed when I first tasted an authentic ramen because it was tasteless (all I could taste was salt and little umami) and didn't live up to my expectations. I tried other Japanese foods then and it was either gross/tasteless so when I read manga/novels praising Japanese cuisine endlessly afterwards, I just roll my eyes because I felt disillusioned.

Anyways, that was two decades ago. I can now eat Japanese cuisine and find some of them especially tasty lols but it's really not as great as it is hyped up especially when you're born in a country rich in spices. It truly depends on a person if their tastebuds likes your culture's food or not.

I noticed this too, most japanese food taste like very light dashi or soy sauce and i’m not a huge fan . I cook, so I’m able to adjust/add flavor. If you’re interested, you should try rolled omelet with curry and garlic powder or ginger pork with some chili flakes. They’re pretty easy to make.

He wears his heart on his sleeves, has desires and a bit selfish, but overall very kind and selfless. I know a lot of people are irritated by him but I love how "human" he is written. He's not perfect nor a genius, just a guy trying to do his best.

Been rereading this for a long time. I still come back to it sometimes, like I do now. I actually find the open ending fitting. They were too young to proclaim whatever label they should have in their relationship. They were 15~17 years old here, they still have forever to spend; why the hurry? Also they're content with their relationship-- that's way better than couples who proclaim I love you and then have some flimsy drama-misunderstanding esque sh*t that breaks them apart so easily. God knows I've read to many manga/manhwas/manhuas like that.

Anyways, I sometimes imagine them going overseas to go to a country with legal gay marriage when they've established themselves and are ready to settle down. I doubt that anything could separate them atp.
