I don't remember ever posting a comment before. This story is just so utterly confusing that I can't help myself right now. This isn't a spoiler, but the protagonist—not “Pearl Boy”—is a completely different character compared to the beginning. Visually, he hasn't changed that drastically, but it's noticeable, and he's just developed a totally different personality. At first, he was kind of dumb and naive, but lovable, and suddenly he’s the most calculating, ruthless mafia gangster out there—but without a smooth transition. And yeah, little pieces of his past are revealed, but they still don’t explain why his personality was the complete opposite before, and that totally throws me off, and I just can’t bring myself to keep reading the story. I’m on chapter 47 now and just can’t get past it.
Is it just me who noticed this?!

Hard disagree for a number of things. Jooha was always sassy and smart since the beginning. U can easily see this from the way he treated pilwon. He was naive and loved him, yes, but he didn't hold onto his delusions. That's a resilient character. 2nd, his personality was dampened by the considerable trauma he had to endure, plus he was emotionally tethered to pilwon. 3rd therefore the "change" was simply character progression from surviving victim to someone who takes charge of their life. Which in my *personal* opinion, is not as abrupt as you say.

Much of his life was spent surviving and that became the core of his personality, so I'm surprised that you didn't see that. At the end he was happy, and his personality became much more balanced (which, duh lol).

I finished the manhwa so I'm basing my opinion on what I've read.

Dooshik was always a badass. The reason he was kinda of the adorable goof was down to survival. He portrayed a character that helped him succeed. His character was the goofy yet sexy player at Peter Pan. A male host. Underneath he was a broken man that fought to survive. Once he fell in love he did his best to play that goofy guy so many men fell for in the past. Until he became that character just for Joonha. The golden retriever boyfriend. I think the dichotomy of both of his sides made him even more lovable.

No same! Just made a comment asking for an explanation
Everything is so inconsistent and there is barely no explanation of the characters background

Is there any chance—and I’m asking very politely—that this gem will get more updates?
