Sumire is ignorant thanks to her loving environment. If you don't know the situation, you can't act or react accordingly, and so rinko got hurt bc of sumire's "common sense"
I get that they were going for the "idc about the original story imma get all the leads" type of female lead, but she is neither kind, nor intelligent or cunning, even less so interesting. She's just plain stupid, reckless and annoying.
