But apart from that, personally in that position I would feel completely different if it was "just" this intense emotional and desperate hug, rather than the kiss. To me the kiss would probably feel too pushy, ignorant/intruding and make everything worse.

It’s probably not that relevant, but personally, I am a little disappointed that it will likely find its way back to her. No not really disappointed, since this was an expectable outcome but I was so relieved she had parted with it and it being gone for good for me felt like a burden that was lifted. I guess she is probably detached enough from all this that she’ll stay fine and diplomatic either way and can deal with just fine, but still. It kinda bothers me.
