Is this worth reading? All I could see from the comments was that the sides are bad but the main story is great. But so far (up to chapter 15) the ML just treated MC as an unpaid servant, harassed him and tried to gaslight him into thinking that MCs the one making advances. Is this actually gonna become good or is MC just gonna keep being strung along?

Wait who was u-chan again... i feel like I either accidentally skipped over some chapters or I'm mixing up this one with another idol story and forgot some major plot point because of it

I think the plot is interesting and I'm glad to for once have found a story like this that isn't smut.
Luckily I'm stupidly ignorant about Egyptian culture and history so I wouldn't notice any potential blatant misrepresentation if it stared right into my eyes, thus it can't take me out of my immersion and I can just enjoy a refreshingly different setting from the typical western castle fantasy for once.

What really irks me though, is the face of Akination or what he's called, though. His lips just remind me too much of the racist picturing of black folks in history of cartoon and comic. No idea if it's just meant to be a unique character design, since this design was only used specifically on him, I believe, but it still makes me flinch every time I see it again >~<

And I still don't get whether the petrification puzzle has been solved already or not. I get the whole alternate timeline mehemis thing, but is he the one who was a stone statue in Li's timeline? In general I'm always curious about how authors deal with the inevitable time travel paradox, this one being no exception. If the person Li met in the future is current Mehemis, then he will have to become a statue in this timeline, otherwise future Li never would have had a way to know / find him. If it was the previous mehemis/anubis, then it's possible that this time the future changes entirely, but then before getting petrified, the anubis-mehemis would have had no way of meeting Li before his death, as he only met Li in a separate time-line, in his god-form. I hope this part of the plot is gonna get picked up again in some more detail later.

I forgot how absolutely fucking nuts half of the characters are ^^'

I think the "evil god" stuff seemed a bit too on the nose to me.

I liked how the story didn't shy away from morally grey areas, questionable choices and behaviors, toxic relationships and things not being black and white at all. So having it all just become the most black and white good vs. evil, lacking even the creativity to come up with an actual name, and - just so absolutely noone of us might get confused- slapping "evil" on top... that felt like the exact opposite of the vibe in the beginning of the story. Felt almost like as a reader we were taken for idiots, needing to be guided by hand to understand who the antagonist of the story will be.

Don't get me wrong, I do actually like that the story did end on a brighter note and the MCs matured a lot from their darker hearts. But the way towards the end seemed to be set up a little too conveniently and (no intend to insult the creator) lazily.

Eww, ch. 121.... Relationship "tests" suck and he deserved to reflect way longer for that shitty behavior. Yuck.

Somehow I'm particularly annoyed by that one team mate of Asa's. Not the lowkey homophobic guy with anger issues, it's a waste of breath to even talk about that dipshit, but the guy who heavily instigated the mess. He was I think pretty clearly implied to be queer himself, yet chose to be such an ass to Aurora. Whether Aurora would later turn out to actually be queer or not, throwing him under the bus like that, pretty much feeding him to the tiger by making him the prime target for locker room talk, stereotyping him and honestly even in a way sexualizing him, in front of a bunch of douchy cishet dudes... It felt kind of disappointing seeing him make a (presumed to be) fellow queer person so uncomfortable, when he should know how awful that can end. I know being queer doesn't automatically make us immune to being major assholes obv, and I know he did apologize later, but man, he got my blood boiling.

Okay nevermind, does anyone have an answer to how tf you can make sense of the story from the point where the chapters all got shuffled at random? Or did y'all read it somewhere else? Is there a (complete) official translation somewhere?

Ch 8: the story so far seems so nice and all, but knowing that clearly the relationships will fall apart for the MCs to eventually end up together breaks me already... I don't want their hearts to get broken :( And I don't want any of them to end up as villains either. I'm yearning to reach the point where the main romance starts, so that I can start cheering rather than counting down the time until the inevitable fall-out. I don't think I've ever read anything where I've taken this many breaks between chapters before continuing

It is so freaking hard to take stories serious when the characters have ridiculously old fashioned and generally funny German names (No offense to anyone named Rüdiger, I'm sure you rock). It was so hard to stay serious. But besides that I was really surprised how well the story was executed. I probably have read similar plots and tropes of this genre a million times before, but this story just managed to feel particularly good at pacing, with enough sprinkles of originality and even a plot twist or two that actually managed to really hook me. And I guess I really was quite a fan of the character designs - personality wise.

I think I saw a more coherent translation over on bato. Unfortunately lately a lots of pages there haven't been loading for me, but maybe some of you guys might have better luck

To be honest that was kind of... anticlimactic though... I expected the dragon to have a harder time/being in more danger, when considering how it's not in good health and dragons in this country do not have a positive reputation. Unless that's gonna happen in the next chapters, but so far this seems kind of too... easy

Do you guys understand Yeonwoos crazy logic? He confronts Dojin for liking him without ever indicating why he wants to know/whether he'd reciprocate or accept his feelings, gets mad that Dojin is scared to admit it, then after forcing him to the point of crying he blames him for not being brave enough, when at no moment he ever directly, clearly expressed his own feelings? Just some vague, ambiguous signs of curiosity. Wtf? I can't

Before I jump too far into this, can someone spoil me? Is this gonna be some really unhealthy, obsessive relationship? Normally I'd immediately drop a story with such a red flag that is manipulative enough to even use suicide as a threat for coercion (even if the person isn't malicious on purpose and may be struggling themselves, doing such a thing is still fucked up), but everyone's saying this story is supposedly super sweet? Can I expect this story to take a better turn and Yeonwoo to change later on? Or will he keep such toxic tendencies and he was just forgiven because the other guy fell in love anyways?

UserOB60Evc3 asked a question

For a few days I've been stuck with this hazy memory of a transmigration story, pretty sure it was a manhwa and a straight couple, where at one point the "god" or whatever communicates with the FL about how they met in the original world with that "god" being portrayed as an author in that world and essentially fulfilling the FL wish to get accepted into uni but then right after the wish was realized they sent her soul into that other world instead. Anyone got any ideas which story this might have come from?

I really hope this is not gonna disappoint me later on, but so far it's so refreshing. Like the sisterhood?! It's amazing?? Not just a needed change from the 'the protagonists are actually the wicked villains in disguise' trope, but also women wanting for other women to stand on their own feet instead of having to rely on any male counterpart? I loved Yurika so much when she expressed that. (And besides how cool is it regardless, to casually have a sister that's dating the crown prince while you're dating a war hero mage?? And instead of any competition these girls are just working as a sibling dream team)
And Yurika seems legit smart, beyond just the "I know the future so I can predict everything and build my empire based on that", making actual decisions inside the world about things that she couldn't have known without finding clues within that world. May be a bit mary sue, but I love our detective Yurika~
Also we love ourselves a ML who understands consent and self-regulation. It also seems like legit respects her as a whole and actually values her opinion, working with her in her plans rather than yet another classic trope of hiding plans from one another or trying to cage away the other because of the feared danger. They make a great team btw. The MC x ML dynamic is also where I'm worried the most thatit might shift the most later on, like in so many stories before, so fingers crossed that the dynamic holds up

In the end I still think Jeongwoo is kind of a brat. Sure he is also loving, but I'd probably go insane trying to read his mind all of the time and still having to deal with him ping-ponging back and forth in seconds about what he actually wants. But it seems like Eungi enjoys that so ~ At least hist taste in a partner has improved compared to his ex. Being bratty is still far better than a cheater after all.
Too bad that the only still available translation of the original version still switches the names half way through, that has always irked me. But I do remember how I was immediately disappointed by the remastered version and dropped it soon after, so I guess I'll still stick to this version.

Is this the one where the second couple looked like it started out of a forced, pretty much paid relationship? Because it looks hella familiar and if it was that, then I can understand why I probably dropped it before
