Aside form Taesoo being adopted. Some families just prefer it that way. I know it's weird to call your parents and grandparents by name., since 99% of families don't. My ex family for instance prefers that their kids call them by name. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd ask them the same from their grandkids as well. Not that I would ever know since we're exes now
