I reread the last couple of chapters to see if there was something deeper and more complex that I'm missing. Really focused and tried to.
Nope. Nothing. Just a jar full of nothing. It's not complicated because of a complex plot. There's no complex plot. Just bad writing. Like the author wanted to show angst, crime and bad stuff more than they want to deliver a good plot and complex characters. I guess there's a thin line between complex characters and just down-right confusing ones

I've sat through and read through toxic BLs and liked some of them despite the non-con, red flag ML, shitty redemption arcs, whatever toxic BL trope. This one is not it.

Why can't you just sit tight and let your man take care of things for you?! This is just so unnecessary like the author is just forcing him to be a complicated character. Making him look like a pitiful victim for a nonsense plot. I don't even know what's happening anymore.

- Jaehyuk lives like an open bisexual abroad
- Jaehyuk dating around again to try to move on. Parents are not happy.
- Garam gets a job that takes him abroad to where Jaehyuk is
- Jaehyuk's parents realizing Jaehyuk had it so much better when he was seriously in a relationship with Garam than him dating around again
- Garam getting therapy

For all the pain and suffering Kim Dan had to go through, there better be 100 episodes of him just being happy and Jaekyung making up for everything. I want to see a lot of sweet dates and domestic fluff, I want to see grandma, I want to see lots of beautiful love making, lots of smiles from Kim Dan. And maybe then I'll forgive Jaekyung

I'd be so crazy if I were Jaehyuk. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. I don't get it. Does he want Jaehyuk to come out or not? The guy is willing to come out and be happy but Garam is low-key pulling him down so they can be miserable together. "You don't know how it is like to be outed" bullshit is just dragging on. He obviously doesn't care if people know he's bi or gay. Garam was outed and he had a bad experience but it seems like he wants the same bad things to happen to Jaehyuk with how much he's willing it to existence. Lol. Let. Jaehyuk. Come. Out. At least then it's going to happen on his own accord and not just outed because of circumstance.

At this point I just want Jaehyuk to come out whether or not he's in a relationship with Garam and hopefully the way he'll address the bullies would give Garam the courage to look at the bright side for once.

Also the appendicitis plot? Puh-leaze. I think it's further painting Garam as a victim. At this point I want Jaehyuk to be hit by a car so Garam gets jolted to his senses and realize he had it so good with Jaehyuk.

I just realized something from the latest chapter. Despite the obvious LDR (Hamamatsu-Nagoya) between them and then only seeing each other every couple of weekends, Souichi still does consider themselves as "living together". To him, Morinaga returning to Hamamatsu for the work week is not him "going home to the dorms", it's "leaving [our shared apartment]".

I wonder if it's because Souichi grew up with his dad being away for work all the time so to him "home" was more than where you go at the end of the day. Before their house burned down, that was their home base despite it mostly just him and Kanako living there. Now that that physical house is gone, the family home --- their home base if you will--- became the Matsuda house. That's where their family gathers and where the default comfortable place is.

For Souichi, it's not that anymore. There's always a clear distinction between "our place/apartment/ home/etc.", and "Matsuda 's /the family house".

Idk if it's just me reading too much into it but I'd like to think that despite all the yapping and tsundere-ing he puts importance in the fact that they're sharing a life together, and that the two of them make a household and their own smaller family unit. They are as common-law married as they can as two men in 2007 Japan.

So my guess is Jaekyung would beat him up giving the bad guys grounds to get him disqualified. He won't be champion but he learns to give it up for Kim Dan. And they reaffirm their feelings for each other blah blah blah

But I know it's not going to be that easy hahaha. It's probably going to be darker than that. Kim Dan will probably be kidnapped and Jaekyung will try to save him but will be told he has to purposely lose or something.

I can't tell if I liked it or not. The premise was okay but it turned weird. Them just having sex at the same room as their child. They boys grew up as siblings pretty much but then Non and Asahi are together? But Asahi has a child? It's like the author wanted to write a story with the gay dads trope but didn't know how parenting or families work

And y'all, it's not even that far from Hamamatsu. People who have more romantic experience than me, please answer my question. Why does it seem like Morinaga is the one who puts more effort and travels every weekend? What's the farthest you've travelled to meet up with a lover?

The side stories were a bit ick for me ngl with how much of a brat and low-key yandere inseo was turning into. Glad I let it marinade until after the long ass sex scene was over. It was all fluffy cute from there. I also loved seeing Gi tak and Sanho.
