I am devastated that this was rushed. It was my most anticipated story. I am truly so sad over this. Gonna have to read the novel.

This story has gone from being quite okay to being really good even with the fishy translations. The art is magnificent and the characters well done. The plot and pacing is truly perfect. I want to read the novel but I don’t think it’s been fully translated yet.

Jesus. I was not ready for how brilliant and absolutely perfect this is. It’s so perfect and so so well drawn. I’m not even a smut person but it’s done so well and truly gorgeously done. I love how themes are actually woven into the story, how the characters grow, this is basic for a good story but so incredibly rare in BL. Not a panel was wasted or a sentence out of place or a plot line left unfulfilled. I loved the mother character, she was kind of horrible but in a really intriguing way.

And Baek Sohan. Baek Sohan. Baek Sohan. I think I left the story in love with him. He is so beautifully drawn and delightfully complex. There were certain panels where he’s looking up at Sihwa, when he’s knelt over crying over his father leaving, when he’s blushing with his short hair. Urgh. I’ve never felt more jealous than of Sihwa. Baek Sohan!!!!! Wish I’d been the one to crash land into your roof.

I think it’s been like 2 years since I read this. I refuse to read it without knowing who the end game is. Call me when this finally gets resolved

This is just season 1? I am flabbergasted because what???? This really went places that made me sick and not in a good way. The way Sangwoo speaks is so degrading which is the point but noooo.

I can’t believe they might make a second season because I can’t imagine how much worse this can get.

Yeah…. I’d be acting like Reno too. If anyone has recs with an MC/ML who look like Farrakhan, I will bow down to you.

I see this problem soooo often in BL because the novels are 100 chapter behemoths and you just cannot get a faithful adaptation because you have to pay someone to draw it all out. I don’t think it’s possible to adapt novels extremely well unless:
A) it’s a short/not very plotty novel
B) hugely successful

This story is popular enough but no MDZS and it’s way to plotty and long. I consistently dread reading novel adaptations even though they are on average better written because it’s always rushed! Such a disappointment but hey, I’ve seen worse so I don’t want to shit on it too much. I’m just sad that all this quality had to fade away so pathetically.

The first season is a masterpiece. It tells a complete, well written and well built story. The uke is legit a top 5 character and the art is soooo incredible. I consider it one of the best BL stories ever.


I feel like each subsequent season got a little worse. It was too successful to end and the story stretched too thin. Th second couple is so aggravating and I never read their chapters. The third season barely made an impression tbh.

But where it succeeds is the MC and ML who are soooo brilliantly done and have the most amazing chemistry and romance. Utterly perfect.

This is sooooo cute. I love the ML. He’s a greenish flag without being saccharine and boring. Th MC is frustrating but charming. It’s a perfect shortish story

It’s rushed and the ML isn’t my fave but it dos 2 things that are essential very well. Firstly, the MC is the best part of this. He’s layered and well thought out. His pain and fears felt real and true. He had real depth. Secondly; the romance told through certain scenes. Like the MC laying his head on MLs lap, the wider shot of them in the crowd. Really rare in BL, shockingly even though it’s literally supposed to be about slash romance. Small but heavy moments like that add so much to their relationship.

Since my list disappeared been trying to find this specific story. I believe it might be Chinese (not sure)the art was black and white and really unique. Really bold designs. The MC had spiky black hair, the ML has white long hair. I believe MC had an obligation to act as a guard/subordinate of ML. ML could not leave his home.

If anyone can point me to the name of it?

Crying over this. The art, the plot, the unflinching stare into the abyss of society. It has so much to say. Corruption, greed, how vulnerable people slip through the cracks. Incheol is so fascinating, he’s self serving and selfish but seems deeply desperate for something he thought he found with the politician. He clearly hates himself, tries to rationalize his actions and he’s almost kind to ML. The way he doesn’t grab MLs head when he’s going down on him. He’s fundamentally not a monster and he has so much depth.


This BL has genuinely touched me and altered something in me. I can’t describe how special that is. It blends art, story telling and BL in a package that doesn’t feel like it should be fair to exist. Like when you come across something so perfect and precious, you don’t feel like you can touch it. But it did and I shall cherish it.

Urgh what a waste of Dex and Jin (who is sooooo fine I abandoned all morals for him). It’s rare to find a mature bottom paired with a mature top and they are soooo hot too. Why Is the plot so chopped up and abrupt???? The premise is interesting but the pacing is so incredibly shit…. Sigh.

I’ll finish it because, again, Dex and Jin but if the characters were less my type, it would be dead to me.
