But here are some spoilers:


Viesel and the empress conspire to get his daughter Lerane engaged to the first prince(the asshole at this point is known as an alcoholic womanizer)

The head Lombardy Lulac disapproves and tells Viesel and the emperor(on separate occasions) that they will not use anyone of his blood for their political gain.

Imperial engagements have to be approved by the emperor, the empress convinces him that it’s in his best interest to approve the marriage. He weighs his options and thinks that Lulac will have to eventually approve so he sides with the empress

Lulac opposes the emperor in front of everyone. Embarrassed, the emperor bans him from the capital city if he does not apologize and take back his words

Lerane is in love with someone and Tia find out and helps her run away with him. He’s an aristocrat from the East.

The empress uses the opportunity to tell the emperor to inact a law that states that the successor to a family can only be the first born son and they have to be full blooded. She tells him that, Lulac would never approve of such a law and therefore will have to come back to the capital to oppose the ruling, and in order for him to come back, he would have to approve of a marriage between the imperial family and Lombardy. Either that or if the law passes, the first prince automatically becomes the successor so it’s a win win for her.

In order to stop the empress, Tia and Perez gets into a contractual engagement. At first Lulac opposed because he loves his granddaughter and he doesn’t want her married into the imperial family, but she convinces him and with their engagement, Lulac was able to go back and oppose the first born ruling.

Obviously the marriage is contractual to Tia but not to Perez.

Lots more happen later on but eventually Perez and Tia gets married and have a baby girl that looks like Tia.






Honorable mentions:
Viesel gets kicked out of the main building of Lombardy for trying to force the marriage of Lerane
He also gets kicked out of Lombardy in general later on for never repenting and just becoming a alcoholic asshole
The first prince get drunk on magic potions and tried to kill the emperor and eventually is sent to war and loses a hand and a foot

The person who really killed Perez’s mom was the emperor （/TДT)/

The empress is thrown into the dungeon and Perez is put in charge of her punishment

One of the first things perez(as well as Tia) does is take down angenas(basically took all their money and properties as well as killing off all the family I believe, can’t remember exactly but I’m pretty sure some people were killed, at least the unsalvageable ones) we all know how important her family name was to her. But anyways, all that is done and is told to her that basically the angenas name is no more

Second, perez brings Astana down to meet the empress so that she can see what horrible condition her son was in as well as how he’s been living and being treated, at this point he had already lost a hand for when he tried to attack the emperor

After letting them reunite, perez makes Astana an offer, and Astana takes it in a heartbeat

The offer was to betray his mom for any meal of his choice(obv the empress didn’t think he would take it, since what was offered was a meal, not freedom, but as we all know, Astana is not a smart cookie)

Lastly, perez tells the empress that she is stripped of her title and will live out the rest of her life rotting in prison as a nobody, and that she will have to live in constant fear of being tortured or poisoned or attacked(as he and his mom other had ╥﹏╥) She was also bound and gagged so that she would not commit suicide.

That was her end, and honestly wasnt as satisfying as I thought it’d be lol the emperor had it worse and I appreciated his ending more lol

What happens to Yvonne? Cuz i read some spoilers and she's nasty.

SPOILER!!!



















My memories not great so this is a summary based on my bad memory

“Yvonne” or that thing in Yvonne’s body is the only remaining descendant of some dark mages or something that worships some evil god. I can’t exactly remember what they do but I think they got their powers from sacrificing/eating/absorbing mana from people(somewhere along that line, I forget) they were all sealed by the magicians.

They’re like able to take over peoples bodies.

And like the last descendant of the dark mages that wasn’t sealed somehow took over Yvonne’s body(it was when they went to a festival and she was separated from her brothers)

This part is really sad ;( the real Yvonne was possessed by that surviving dark mage when she was only like 5yrs old. And she would sometimes gain consciousness after that thing made her kill/eat people. She once gained consciousness when her dad picked up Penelope. She basically saw her dad taking care of Penelope and that thing made her think that her family abandoned her. But she basically lived as a homeless person since she was 5 and would periodically lose/gain consciousness until eventually that thing took over her mind and body completely.

Basically that was not the real Yvonne and in the “original” story where Penelope dies, Yvonne marries the crown prince in order to get into the palace where she eventually releases all the dark mages and they basically destroy the world.

Anyways, since time was reversed and Penelope didn’t die, a lot of things changed and one of the changes was everyone finding out eventually who yvonne was and finally killing her(although this part was really confusing to me, I don’t exactly know how she died, I just know Penelope killed her, the novel was a little confusing, I feel like a part of the story was missing.

Anyways, if you’ve read this far already, I’ll let you know who she ends up with.
