The MC isn't compelling. His only stand out trait is that he is an upright guy. He doesnt feel smart or clever since all he does is rely on his ability since its clear the author wants him to be this cool guy rather than a fucking lawyer. He's supposed to be a lawyer but we rarely see him approach the cases from an interesting way. It would be different if we saw him pointing out flaws in the opposing sides case but every case he gets is a easy win with his powers. There's no tension and he's not even playing politics to get clues on his dad's death. You would think that his MAIN reason for becoming a lawyer would have more focus. This story just seems like the writer wanted to write a story about a police officer/detective but got told by his publisher lawyers are trendier and switched it last minute. That at least would be more compelling and make more sense than a LAWYER going to crime scenes to gather evidence. There's lawyer and detective stories that separately do the things this story tries to do 100× better. Even boredom cannot just reading this since there isn't much interesting about it. Recommend this to someone who mildly annoys you as a punishment.
I love this story but my only critique is I wish it showed more of how and why he neglected Yuri his first life (stress/pressure/insecurities/etc). If the author highlighted why he was like that then it would make his change seem more natural because if it was that easy for him to act caring and doting this time around why didn't he before. I just would have liked if it were like "before I was so worried about being the best for you I overlooked you loved me as I was". Without a reason for why he was like that it makes him seem shallow.
I need MC to just kill everyone. I thought just Gus knew about the goblins and he was the only problem but the fact that the entire fucking village knew about the goblins and they're even trying to bring in people to hunt the goblins but didn't tell the fucking family that they essentially FUCKING FORCED TO LIVE THERE. KILL THEM ALL.
At first when the ML was falling so quickly I was feeling ehh but the latest chapters reframed his feelings in a way that I enjoy. Rather than a typical love he is feeling almost the love of a "disciple" to a "prophet". They way he feels satisfaction seeing her do "miracles" and feels sadness when he sees something he perceives as a limitation to her power is fascinating and refreshing. It makes more sense he is enamored by her mysticism than her in actuality. For a second there I thought the author was gonna rush in some romance, its nice to see that at this moment it was more of him mis-perceiving his feelings as something more romantic than they currently are due to the intensity of his interest.
Don't tell me he's finna get a yandere boyfriend now lol
no honey, it not FICS, but official from the author themselves, but it's more focus on Jin Qing than jinho tho
