Does anyone have any BL love squares. I just finished Speak up! And it sort of stressed me out and I think it would’ve been so good if it was a love square instead of a weird looking half triangle with a line. PS. Do not read it, everyone is pretty toxic except the 2nd uke. But please recommend any love squares in BL.
My personal opinion: MC is very annoying, how many times is ML going to back you up, for you to just stand there and let himself get embarrassed…I feel so bad for the ML, I was hoping that the ML would hold some sort of grudge against the MC, for leaving him and suing his family…but then we see that he still has a crush on MC…I have no words to describe how disappointed I am…(I don’t hate MC, I just feel like we wasted all that time with him being worried about his dad finding out about his relationship because Boom, he finally goes the balls to argue with his dad and then the dad dies. It’s like nothing was achieved…) I get that MC was abused by his father and of course he was scared, who wouldn’t be, it’s just that it feels like the first volume was useless, and how we transition from the 1st volume to the 2nd… like he was so scared of confrontation and suddenly he is okay with telling someone to fuck off (I know it’s been 8-9 years) it just feels like we missed a big plot. Again this is my opinion, no hate, just slightly annoyed.
1.5 stars - Super slow start and the romance was cute but couldn’t handle the MC being scared of everyone and everything and letting the ML take beatings. Just not my cup of tea, could be someone else’s!
This is such a specific trope but I fucking EAT IT UP WHOS WITH ME??
doesn’t matter if mc is strong or weak, people misunderstand/overthink everything they do to the point they think mc is always 3 steps ahead, while mc is blissfully unaware (and typically nervous). i also included “sickly” mcs who aren’t actually sick. and frauds!
