I needed to pause reading because one person shouldn't get away with being so stupid. Spur of the moment stupidity is normal, but when you've been hurt, been warned to stay away AND had the time to think through what you're about to do and still stay stuck on stupid....it's too much.
I skip their slow burn misunderstanding scenes, and am honestly just here to see if the emperor overpowers his dad and the duke and gets it together, and for the kid.

the fake daughter bit is a chapter or 2 and not an arc. I hope it's just being used to push the red head's revenge/redemption/implosion arc, and the emperor does some quick test to check for the royal hand/palm magic marking she's supposed to have.

I might just stop reading this. Because of that one black character and it is so bad. I am offended. I cant draw that good for hairstyles. But I feel like they could have done better. As a black person I cant just understand. There are so many othet styles they could have went with that isn't black represented and still add a black character. Like if he is going to Hollywood then he might meet more black people. Maybe its me. But it could have been better.

Stopped at chapter 6. If I was bored I would definitely keep reading for the non MCs 'cause that's where all the depth and intrigue is. The MC and her maid are insufferable.
