I actually really like the empress. Tbh if the genders were reversed this would probably be her story. It doesn’t justify any of her actions but I feel like this whole story is about intense love. Read a comment that the emperor is a victim of csa and then why is no one mentioning that Enoch’s mom is a csa perpetrator… even if she was deranged… also is it even okay to accept affection from a deranged person clearly thinking you’re someone else?
I did read the spoiler about the empress and the emperor but I wish she got her own happy ending after realizing how her actions are wrong and not the proper way to love someone… we read a bunch of webtoon about tyrants who become reformed after someone gets isekai into the world. I wish that happened to her

Crazy Damien didn’t even need to be rescued… he really broke his own thumb and got out of it all by himself but just needed a little extra motivation to climb out
It’s not bad but something about it feels soooo boring. A little soulless? Like I’m just eating to get full but not eating because it’s delicious, if that makes sense. Overall it’s fine I guess. Good art and translation but just a little boring.

Hmm I don’t really remember them even mentioning this option but she seems to hate city guys because of what happened to her mom. Doesn’t necessary mean she hates the city. I think it might’ve been worthwhile to show that he’s different from the rest but I think they wanted to just end the series quickly so idk why you talking like it’s set in stone. It’s mostly smut with some plot and not plot with smut if you know what I mean lol

I mean yeah she kept following the maid and got kidnapped but ummm most people don’t expect to just get kidnapped like that. Plz stop victim blaming :( stuff like this happens in real life too and we shouldn’t blame victims :( but rather the perpetrators
but our MC has read the book and multiple times implied the villianess is dangerous, and escaladed once FL began her relationship with the duke in the book. Nevermind that, our MC was slapped, and even thrown off the ship for being rumoured to have a relationship with the duke, so being cautious isn't asking too much when she's actually getting married to the duke. I'm on the fence about how I feel about our MC, like she has alot of too stupid to live moments, but then her straight forwardness solves unnecessary miscommunication drama, which is so refreshing.
I understand that, but she hasn’t showed up in recent chapters and honestly I even forgot the villainess existed for a second and I’m sure she did too. She’s too busy thinking about the her business and the wedding. We don’t always live life thinking about violence that hasn’t even happened yet, how’s she suppose to know? Sure she read the book but that doesn’t necessarily tell you what will happen and when, especially after everything has changed.
If the original FL was to get captured by her stalker would we blame her? Say that she should’ve been more careful? I would hope not. Blame should be on the perpetrator and not the victim.
I also have mixed opinions on our MC. She’s an airhead for sure and ends up hurting others because of it like the duke. Lacks street smarts but very competent in other areas like business. I think she’s written with flaws like we all have.
I wasn't blaming her,but just expressing my frustration, especially when you read so many transmigration novels with badass MCs who all get involved in plot devices like these, but I'm fine with it because they don't seem so unreliable especially since our MC now has dragged her awesome maid into it.
I'm also miffed about how she did nothing after the villianess threw her off the boat with intent to kill. Like an apology will do anything. On their first meeting the villianess threw tea at her, second meeting she was slapped across the face and on the third meeting she was thrown of the boat. WTF, wanting only an apology and holier than thou attitude makes her unrelatable and hard to support as a character.
I bet the author wanted her to fun and quirky but it obviously fails here because she comes off as unreliable. The heroine in Miss Not-So Sidekick shares similiar characteristics but the author did a fantastic job making her independent and added character value when giving the trouble prone heroine items so that she became self sufficent in getting out trouble.
Our MC isn't developed to well, and I nearly dropped it when she started getting jealous and unsure about the pretend relationship betweenn duke and FL. But the saving grace was our MC's straight forwardness. I now don't like how she is overworking with building a business, planning a wedding and also volunteering, and all of this is stressing people around her out.
I'm not perfect but I don't worry people around me by pushing myself to a breaking point. That's just counterproductive. Its not wrong of readers to want a reliable character, or have character development that pushes for it.
Okay all of what you said is valid and I agree with a lot of them. She’s definitely a problematic and kind of annoying with how she acts. But my main issue is that a lot of people are victim blaming the MC for getting kidnapped and I just think that’s not fair and problematic.
Art kind of reminded me of chain saw man but something about the tops design was giving creepy sometimes instead of cute… maybe it’s done on purpose? The plot might’ve been more digestible if the top didn’t give those creepy vibes sometimes lol
